                     * Sophia *

We were now at home, on our way here dad kept on yelling about how I disgraced him today. And he knew pretty well that I didn't care so no need to retort back to him. We were at the living room and I sat on the couch, on my phone while he continued scolding me. Both Mimi and Lillian just stood in silence, they didn't want to get involved in the matter I guess.

"you are going to marry him whether you like it or not! " my dad yelled but I could care less of what he says. Before I knew it, he grabbed my phone from me and threw it on the wall. My eyes widened, everyone was stunned.

"Here I am, busy talking to you and you are busy with your phone. Do you think that's right? What is wrong with you Sophia?"

"You can't force me dad, I'm an adult! And I can make my own decisions"

"I can't imagine you are disobeying me, We'll see about that " he said, and then he walked pass me. There's no way I'm going to get married to that good for nothing big head! Not especially now that my dad broke my phone because of him. Mimi went after him, and Lillian sat down beside me,

"I'm sorry about everything Sophie" she said and I shook my head at her,

"No need to be sorry, what are you sorry for exactly?" I asked so casually, she looked at me in amusement.

"I'm really surprised that you are taking this really well, what are you going to do?" she asked and I shrugged,

"Am I supposed to do anything?"

"Yes, or do you want this wedding to happen?" she asked,

"God forbid bad thing!" I tried to say in a Nigerian accent and she laughed hard. I laughed too, "What? Isn't that how you say it? "

"No, and don't even try saying it again, please" she said in between her laughter and I just stared at her. I'm so happy to see her in such a good mood, it warmes my heart.

"what? " She asked once as soon as she saw me staring at her,

"I've never seen you laugh this much in a long time, tell me is a man in any way involved?" I asked, and winked at her. She just stared at me with wide eyes,

"No! Of course not! Never!" she yelled and I raised up my hands in surrender,

"Ok, if you say so" I told her while getting up, "I'll be in my room... " I was saying and just then, one of our gate man walked in.

"Good afternoon Ma" he greeted, and Lillian stood up to meet him.

"And what is the matter? Why did you come in here?" it was in cases like this that she had her serious face on.

"There's someone at the gate madam" he replied with his eyes on the floor,

"And so? That's why you have a landline to communicate with us, what if the boss sees you here? " she scolded, I just stood there and watched the drama in front of me. I barely converse with the workers as it is, He looked at me and then back at the floor.

"That's why we didn't use the phone because he might become aware of the person here to see miss Sophia" he finished and I was surprised there, no one has ever come to see me and that's because I didn't let them know where I stay, even Mira doesn't know my house but she will pretty soon. Lillian turned to me, confusion was written all over her face.

"Did you bring anyone home before?" she asked,

"No, I'm kind of surprised myself" I said and she narrowed her gaze at me, "I swear, I'm not lying Lillian"
