Tahimik lang na nakaupo si Ryker. He's observing the whole classroom quietly. He would be lying if sasabihin niyang hindi niya namiss ang pumasok sa school. Looking at their reactions, he can imagine what his past self looked like when he just started his first year in college. The room is big and it's not crowded even though there are at least thirty students.

Most of the girls ay palihim na nagnanakaw ng tingin sa kanya. Obviously, he's handsome. He has this aloof and indifferent aura around him. With glasses on, he definitely looks like someone you can't mess with.

The door suddenly opened. A youth with a wild vibe entered the room and theur eyes met. He looks annoyed habang nakatingin kay Ryker. He smirked and the man's eyebrow twitched.

"The hell man. The fuck are you even doing here?" pagdadabog niya at umupo sa tabi ni Ryker.

'Is that I think who he is?'

'Do they know each other?'

'Who is that guy anyway?'

Rinug naman ni Ryker ang bulungan ng mga kaklase nila. The moment he saw this man, alam niya na agad kung bakit dito siya pinasok ng dad niya.

* BANG*

Pabagsak naman nitong nilapag ang isang bagay sa harap ni Ryker.

"Are you bribing me?" panunukso ni Ryker

"No. It's a greeting gift. I'm just glad to see you" sabi niya naman sabay ngumit ng peke.

"Loser" sagot naman ni Ryker at tinanggap ang isang balot ng lollipop.

Ryker subconsciously smiled. This guy is Kinth. They met a couple of times during his birthdays. They're not close but they both acknowledged each other's existence.

"I'm surprised they let you go to school" biglang sabi ni Kinth.

"I'm an adult. Father's excuses won't work anymore. He's just paranoid"

"So, why are you here? I mean, di tayo close but based in your personality expected ko na low-profile ang gusto mo. Why are you here?" tanong ni Kinth habang nakatitig kay Ryker.

Ryker looked at him but did not answer. What else? It's all his father's fault but he can't blame everything to his dad, right? So nanahimik na lang siya.

Mabilis na natapos ang araw. Bored na bored si Ryker. Siguro kasi first day pa naman pero there's nothing in school na nagpapukaw ng interest niya. Everything is so dull and unassuming.

Ryker was about to enter his car when he noticed Kinth, a few meters ahead of him. Kasama niya mga kaibigan niya.

"Gago pre. May laban mamaya sa Abyss. Manood tayo"

"Oo nga Kinth. Matagal na rin since huli kang nakipaglaban diba. For sure unang hahamon sayo e ang Vipers"

"I will think about it" sagot naman ni Kinth. Nagtama ang tingin ng dalawa for three seconds and they both pretended na di nila nakita ang isat isa.

Ryker frowns. The Abyss? He crosses his arms and nakatitig lang kay Kinth hanggang humarurot ito paalis ng skwelahan.

'Hmm, seems fun'

He entered his car and reached out for his phone to call someone. He looked for Kinth's number and called him.

After a few rings, he answered Ryker's call.

"What's up?" a husky and alluring voice asked.

He didn't think na his voice over the phone sounds good. Ryker smirked.

"I'll change cars. Wait for me. I'll go with you to the Abyss" he said and hang up the phone.

Kinth suddenly stop in the middle of the bridge. With an expression of disbelief on his face.

"What the fuck!?"

He's loss of words. Ano 'yun? Di makapaniwala si Kinth na binabaan siya ng telepono ni Ryker. He even know about the Abyss na siyang nakakagulat. Sa pagkakaalam niya kasi, Ryker was sheltered since birth ng parents niya kaya it's surprising that he knew about the filthy world of the Abyss.

Kinth went out of the car to smoke. There are some drivers na sinisigawan siya for stopping sa tulay para magsigarilyo  lang pero di niya pinansin ang mga ito.

Napaisip si Kinth. Ryker is a fascinating person. He's way too smart and too good sa lahat ng bagay. When he first saw him years ago, he can't take his eyes off of him. Such a charming devil, truly a feast in the eyes.

Remembering his bored expression kanina sa klase and even his whole presence, he has this aloof and indifferent aura in him which is nakakapanibago and it's very intriguing.

In the distance, magandang tunog ng kotse ang naririnig niya. And there he saw Ryker's car.

Ryker stopped in front of Kinth at binaba ang bintana.

"Let's race?" Ryker asked with a devious smirk on his face.

Kinth's eyebrow rose up and replied, "Whoever loses must accept a dare"

"Deal" nakangiting sagot naman ni Ryker.

Kinth finished his cigarette and went inside his car. He looked over the window and he saw Ryker's devilish smile. Nag-init bigla ang pakiramdam niya. He's excited, too excited.

It's been a while since he felt this kind of excitement. And minutes later, they both race their cars in hope to win the chance to dare the other person.
