She remembered the purple stone.
That's the last and only thing she has related to jimin. She wasn't ready to believe that jimin was not there, with her.
She fumbled in her handbag, searching for the said purple stone.
Tears were flowing down her cheeks but she didn't care about that, all she wanted was jimin by her side.
Is she being selfish right now?
Probably yes, but he can't just disappear suddenly when he promised her to be by her side.
She finally found the stone she was looking for. She put the bag aside on the bench as she sat down.
Her vision was blurry, she couldn't even see it properly but she could feel the shine of the stone. It was just so beautiful. She just held that in her hand and cried like the surroundings didn't matter.
" Why?! Why are you not here? Why did you lie to me? I thought I found someone I can rely on, then why?! " she said in-between her sobs clutching the stone in her hand close to her chest.
" was that all just lies?! H-how could you lie so easily?! Come back please, I need you with me. Those lies- they were so pretty I almost got drawn in them. I still can't hate you. Please God! Make him come back! " she emptied out all her heart's content sitting there. Even if no one listenes, even if he doesn't come back-
" I didn't lie, my angel. I'm here. " That voice, she was dying to listen.
The voice that can make the flowers bloom all again even without the presence of spring.
The voice that can soothe all her pain with just a word, the voice she always craved for. It was him.
But- how is that possible?!
Jimin ? !
It was like her heart stopped for a second, and she turned her head towards the magically beautiful voice.
There he stood, with a smile on his face as he gazed at her fondly. Her words were stuck in her throat, she couldn't believe her eyes.
" There, there. Stop crying now, you silly girl. " He said as he crouched down at her level, wiping her tears gently.
She was frozen in her place and couldn't utter a single word, but his touch made her come to her senses.
He is here. He is really here.
But how?
" J-jimin ? How? " She stuttered out the words from her mouth while still crying.
" shhh, calm down first. I'll tell you everything, okay? " He said and held her in his arms cradling her as if she were a baby.
She clutched his shirt tightly and let out her remaining tears, damping his shirt.
For some while, they stayed there calmly not exchanging any words. Once her sobs died down, he pulled away from the hug.
" How are you here? I thought... I thought you were- I saw it in the files myself. But please don't leave me again. " She said still sniffling a little.
" I didn't lie, cherry. I was there the whole time. It's true... it's true that I'm not alive anymore, but I promised you, didn't I? That I'll be by your side forever. I'm not breaking it, see? I'm here. Now and forever. " He said with a gentle voice holding her hands in his. But she was confused. how is that possible?
" I know, you're confused but listen carefully okay? I'm not alive but I can still be here- " He said as he saw her confused expressions but she cut him off.
" Angel. You're an angel, aren't you? You're my angel. " She said as a single tear slipped down her eyes.
" You can say that. " He chuckled a little, "I'll be by your side as long as you want, but I can't stay with you as a person. I'm not a human. I'm sorry, I know I should have told you this before but I couldn't. " He said as his own eyes were now filled with crystal like tears.
" I'm was supposed to help you come out of your depression. I was supposed to help you to live your life again. But I made a mistake, I wasn't supposed to fall in love with you. But I don't see it as a mistake. You're my childhood best friend. It was unfortunate that I passed away before I could meet you again. So they sent me as your guardian angel. I was supposed to help you feel loved and wanted, but I myself couldn't help and fall in love with you. " He said as a tear escaped from his eyes but he was fast to wipe it off.
" it all makes sense now, You coming in my life suddenly and taking all my pain away. I'm still confused about a few things but the most important thing is that I found you, again. You're all I want, all i can ask for." She said and smiled with her whole heart, making him smile too.
