Author's note: In case anyone is wondering out there, about what Tyler's summer was like in Canada, there's a short story about that. Like a, My Boyfriend Is a College Werewolf 1.5, and it's already written. Oh yes, there will be a murder or two. So this is just a heads up for anyone wondering why I haven't mentioned much about it. Until then, please enjoy some Cary Brothers—Can't take my eyes off of you, it's a good song.

The air hardly chilled me. In fact, it was more like I was caught inside a nice and snug warm bubble. Tyler's body was doing a pretty good job at that. The air parted ways from the front. It hardly touched the sides. Only when I reached my hand out, could I feel the cool air pass over, and under my hand, like I used to do as a child out of a car door window.
"I'm betting this might sound silly of me asking you." I paused while gauging Tyler's lingering gaze as he sat across a brown table from me. We were still at the hospital and I had just finished going over funeral arrangements with my mom. So I might have still been a little sensitive. "How did you get here?"
Tyler's leather jacket was what I partly clung to. My arms were mostly wrapped around his torso. The motorbike thundered beneath us, vibrating our butts, and sometimes my teeth whenever we made a sharp turn. My arms pulled tighter, but not too tight. Tyler didn't quite deserve the satisfaction.
Tyler gave me one of his all too knowing smiles and I tried not to scoff at him for it. He did run across more than a couple of states for me. How many guys out there did that?
The sun was setting, I could see we were heading straight towards it. The road was wide and open, only for the two of us. Somehow I could feel Tyler's smirk.
Tyler drummed his fingers on the table, lightly so.
Right away I felt foolish for having asked. I looked away, focusing on the lines marked on the wall near the floor.
I didn't know how long we'd been like this. It could have been minutes but then, it could have been hours. My educational guess was the latter. When we left, the sun was more or less, in the middle of the sky.
"Come on Tyler, don't make fun of me." Even though I was able to start putting pieces together, that didn't make it enjoyable.
I leaned my head sideways on his back, though it wasn't easily done with a full helmet on my head. The helmet made my head feel bloated, and kind of silly. Tyler had put it on me anyway before we left. My hands moved up to his back and on his shoulders. At least I knew he wouldn't risk making anymore sharp turns for thrills. He wouldn't risk my life like that.
"I took the red eye," he said with a tilt of his head to the left. Not dramatically so.
The visor was down, so I watched the world pass us by sideways. It was darker with the visor over my eyes. So that kind of made the world look like some strange dimensional world. "You're enjoying this more than you should be," I murmured.
