"why don't you go join them in the water?" yunho nudged his head over at their friends who played happily in the ocean, as they'd driven there for another 2 hours.

"i, uhm, can't swim," ellie shuddered, smiling sheepishly to herself.

"you can just stand in the water, you don't need to go in too deep." he informed, "but i'm not forcing you whatsoever, do whatever you please."

"maybe later, even if it is hot out." ellie looked at the sky, enjoying the warm breeze.

yunho looked into the paper bag next to him, "you want a coffee? i bought a few in case we would suck up to them."

"sure, why not." she walked up next to him, leaning against the front of his car with him.

he handed her a sealed caramel macchiato, smiling as he'd known it's one of her favorites.

"awe, yun!" she chuckled, "you shouldn't have. thank you."

"i'm quite observant, so please. don't thank me for the slightest." a low chuckle came from his chest, making her face slightly heat up.

"since you live with san," she perked her head up at him, "how's it like living with byeol?"

he was taken aback by her sudden question. "byeol? his cat, byeol?"

she scoffed, "no, the washing machine he called byeol. of course his cat!"

"ah, right," he smiled, solely to himself, "it's both a dream and a nightmare. the cuddles and the comfort of her, love it. but the fact that she doesn't use her litter box sometimes makes me berserk."

"whatcha talkin' about?" san asked, coming out of the water and wiping his face with his hands.

"your oh-so-holy cat." yunho perked one of his eyebrows up. "teach her how to use the damn litter box. how many times have i seen that darn furball piss on the floor of our living room?!"

"hear me out, i've tried. but does byeol bother? no!" san exclaimed.

"i'm pretty sure the dorm will smell like cat piss again. you did tell juyeon to take care of her, did you?" yunho asked.

"duh, he's the only one who knows the pin code to the dorm aside from us." san slicked his hair back, "come swim with us, babe! it's fun. you can just stay at chest or hip level of water."

"i'll pass, thanks for the offer." ellie smiled. "and, juyeon?"

"oh, yeah, one of our friends. you know him?" yunho asked.

"he's my coworker at the boba shop. he was lowkey intimidating when i first started the job, turns out he wasn't as bad as he seemed to come off." she smiled.

"is it so? san told me he couldn't even talk to him, seonghwa did the talking instead. i actually thought he was a cool guy from the start." yunho teased.

san rolled his eyes and went back into the water.

"I CAN FEEL THE SAND IN MY ASS- LORD-" keeho ran away as grace ran after him with a ball of sand, ready to throw it at his back. "ALL OF IT WENT DOWN INTO MY TRUNKS PLEASE DONT-"

"but it's fun!" grace maniacally laughed, throwing the sand at keeho.

"you have interesting friends, tiny." the tallest chuckled.

"it's just how our friendship works." she shrugged, "this camping experience is already so fun and it's only the first official day here."

"never been camping before?" he questioned.

"ah, no." she shook her head, "i'm kinda just a homebody, if i'm not out with friends. like at this time of day, i'd probably be annoying wooyoung while he's playing a round of league."

he smiled. "nice, also tiny, this may come off so suddenly," yunho inhaled a sharp breath, "we haven't really got to practicing the troublemaker choreo, once we're back in the comfort of the city, are you still up for it?"

"oh," she breathed, "i mean, yeah. it could kill my time for a while. i need to make myself busy anyways."

"gotcha," he smiled, "what can we talk about? there's not much to say." a soft sigh escaped from yunhos chest as he stared at the horizon.

"well," ellie started off, "i've heard jongho, seonghwa and hongjoong major 2 things at once, who else could be?"

"hm," yunho thought, "mingi majors in dance as well as music production, which means he hangs out with hongjoong every now and then, but i think that's all."

she nodded, "do you have any interests? besides like, dancing, pottery, anything you like or dislike? talking generally."

yunho liked how interested she seemed, "well, i like food, harry potter, marvel, playing video games, cookies and cream flavored ice cream, coke, soft scents, i guess that's about it."

it was shocking to the girl to hear that they'd have quite a few interests in common. "are you another me?" she blurted, causing him to laugh out loud.

"that much in common, hm?" he chuckled, "would that make us soulmates, then?"

she was taken aback by his remark, a shit-eating grin plastered on his face when he saw her reaction. wide-eyed, red cheeks and mouth slightly agape.

"you have a slight coffee mustache, little one." he informed, reaching into his pockets and grabbed a tissue out, gently placing his delicate fingers under her chin while his other hand wiped the excess off of her lips.

"oh.. i, uhm, that's.." she scratched her neck nervously, not knowing how to even properly.

"no worries," yunho gestured that it was fine, "it was adorable if i can say."

"hi, lovely," mingi approached, slicking his wet hair back, "not gonna join us? or you at least, big boy?" he asked, looking at the both of them.

"been asked a few times," ellie sighed, "but if it has to be this way i think i will go for a little dive." she looked back at yunho after averting her gaze from mingi.

"what about you?" she inquired.

"hm, maybe when someone else is here to take care of our things, if not i'll just put it all in the car, but you'll never know what else might happen." yunho shrugged.

"give me 15 minutes and i'll be in the water, 'kay min?" ellie smiled.

"alright~" he winked at her, patting her arm and left back into the water.

yunho tucked his bottom lip in between his teeth, one of his eyebrows cocked up as he regained composure.
