i grab four's arm and start to drag him across the concrete.
i can't lift him, so this is the next best thing if he wants to survive.
do i really care if he lives though?
i mean, he has been rude to me in the past, and that's hard to forgive.
his limp body drags along the concrete, most likely getting scraped from head to toe.
he better be grateful i'm helping him at all once he wakes up.
if he wakes up. there's a chance he's too far gone...
i've never thought of four to be weak, or at least, one that feels pain.
he seems so... calm, and collected in every situation.
i bet right now he's in a lot pain, if he feels anything at all.
i finally reach the dauntless compound.
"someone, help!!" i call out.
christina is outside the compound holding a fire hose to dowse the flames still leaping into the sky above.
"hey, christina!" i yell.
she turns towards me, and immediately rushes to my side.
"what happened?" she asks, looking down at four's body on the ground.
"he... got shocked or something. anyway, he's unconscious and needs help. now."
together, we lift four and carry him inside the building.
the lights are still out since we're fighting the flames and making sure it's safe to have any on.
the city power probably will take years before it is fixed and running again.
"how did you get him here?" christina asks me as we walk.
"i had to drag him. i didn't have any help and couldn't lift him."
"dang girl, that takes strength i didn't know you had" she laughs.
christina seems like she could always make the best out of a dark situation like this one.
that's why i'm glad we became friends, i need someone fun in my life.
"we're almost there" she says.
"where are we going?" i still don't know my way around this place honestly.
"the infirmary, where everyone who is injured goes."
"oh." i pause.
it took a little while for it to set in that he's really hurt.
we reach the infirmary and a doctor approaches us.
she's wearing a white coat, and motions us over to a bed to lay him down in.
"we'll do the best we can, i'd hate to lose one of our brightest stars," she says.
"we'll wait outside for an update!" christina calls as she practically drags me from the room.
just outside the door, we bump into eric...

i wake up flat on my back. skin cold, and feeling as if i am on fire.
the lights above me are blurry around the edges, but i can still make them out.
my ears ring as i strain to turn my neck to the side and see where i am.
the sounds of beeping and heart monitors give away my location though, and the pain keeps me from moving too far.
