Divergent: fearless leader

Chapter 3

Eric's POV

We are approaching Erudite so we all jump and run towards Erudite we walked straight in to be greeted by Jeanine "I wasn't expecting you, how can I help?" she said in a polite tone that mocked me because all I wanted to do was break her neck

"We know you have Tina we want her back, NOW" I demanded Jeanine froze knowing she had been caught and there was no use lying

"Fine, I will show you to her" she said beginning to walk I was skeptical but also desperate so signalled everyone to follow we were lead down to the Erudite prison and  Jeanine lead us to the end cell where I saw Tina's unconscious body on the floor

"WHAT THE HELL HAVE YOU DONE TO HER" I shouted Four grabbed Jeanine

"Let.Eric.get.her.NOW" he said Jeanine thought for a second then handed me the keys I unlocked the cell and ran in I turned her over and made sure she was breathing thankfully she was.

"Tina... tina please move or say something don't leave me" I whispered before picking her up.

"Take her to dauntless infirmary" Four said I nodded and left.

Tina's POV

Jeanine came back a few moments later "I got you a visitor" she said grinning Marcus my father then walked round the corner with a belt in his hand I would usually be able to fight him but I know I'm too weak to fight so I just do my best to stand my ground I stand up and glare him down but it doesn't work he continues to walk towards me

"Please" I chocked I was well and truly scared

"I'm only doing this for your own good" he said those words where venom to my ears he always said that but it was never for my own good with that the belt came down on me hitting me multiple times I was now on the floor I could feel blood. As the pain became unbearable darkness started flooding my vision I tried to fight it but I was too weak. A few moments later I could hear what sounded like Eric shouting had he found me would I finally be able to leave then I heard Four say something and with that I heard my cell door opened I heard Eric "Tina... tina please move or say something don't leave me" I tried to move but failed even my eyes where glued shut I then felt his arms pick me up and walk for a bit I heard Four talking but the pain was starting up again a darkness took over once again.

Beep...beep...beep...beep I could hear my heart monitor giving me reassurance that I was alive and I had survived Jeanine's years of torture I could hear people talking but I couldn't hear them properly I tried to open my eyes but failed instead I moved my hand because someone was holding it either Eric or Four I couldn't tell but I moved my hand successfully giving them a sign that I was awake in my mind I could hear someone talking to me "Tina come on please just open your eyes please we all miss you and dauntless needs you I know you can't do it please just try for me please" and with that my eyes fluttered open to see Uriah, Zeke, Four, and the man I love most Eric standing around me turns out the person holding my hand was Four. Uriah embraced me in a hug and I didn't hesitate to hug him back Eric looked slightly jealous which made me smile "Hey missed you too Uriah but don't squeeze me to death" I croaked laughing

"sorry just long time no see he said shrugging his shoulders." He had grown much broader and seemed more relaxed than when I left 

"Right back at you" I say we both chuckle at my saying I then look around the room at each person noticing changes in their appearance when I got to Eric I noticed everyone had a tear stained face apart from him I wondered if he had actually cried over me I noticed he seemed to be more muscular as I look him up and down we catch eye contact I finally get to see the eyes of the man I love the man I've been longing to see for so many years I see a small smile creep on to his face I smile back "I missed you" I say to Eric he looks slightly stunned then walks over and says "I missed you too" before leaning down and kissing me I could hear my friends clapping and whistling we pulled away and I started blushing "anyway when can I get out of here" I said trying to change the subject
