Eda's eyes followed his lips while he pronounced the last sentence: what did he mean with the least scary part?

- One day, after making my feelings clear to Balca, I received a call from an unknown number. I answered and it was Balca's father, Aziz Demir.
Balca had told me so much about her father and his empire in architecture, so when he called me and asked me if I wanted to be interviewed for a job, I didn't think twice.
And that was the first mistake I made, in good faith.
The meeting day arrived and it was late in the afternoon, nobody was in the workplace anymore.
I entered Demir bey's office and I found him with two bodyguards.

"Serkan Bolat, you look like your father when he was younger and I tell you right away that I never liked him. But maybe he has always hidden our rivalry from you.

Your dear father, who everyone praises for the perfect balance between family and work, was the architect of my ruin. I lost a millionaire project because of him since his favorite hobby has always been to get in my way.

But revenge is a dish to be served cold, dear Bolat.

And my revenge will go through what Kemal bey loves most: love, in all its forms.

And you, dear Serkan, will be the tool by which each person who is around your family will suffer.

And if you refuse, the consequence will be simple: there will be no one and nothing more for you to love, Bolat.

I strongly advise you to accept my proposal if you don't want me to expose your father by building up a false story and winning against him by hiring the best lawyers and witnesses.

And this will be the least scary part.

Because, most of all, I advise you to accept if you don't want to see the career, and the life, of your beloved Eda Yildiz ruined forever. She'll pay more than anyone if you'll make a mistake. Her dream of becoming a landscaper will be shattered if you choose not to accept my proposal.

And I repeat: this will be the first of the ways through which I will ruin her life and everyone's."

Serkan knew by heart the speech that Demir bey pronounced. His face darkened, just by remembering it. He was still scared about that meeting, despite it belonged to the past. That dark room, with only Demir bey sitting on his kind of throne and the two bodyguards standing by his side, was often present in his nightmares.

- All I had to do was get away from you and ruin the relationship with my family. So the first condition to respect was about work: the job he offered me wasn't actually for his company. First of all, he told me he would have sent a reference letter to another prestigious firm I had applied to. I was obligated to refuse my father's reference letters he was excited to make for me, lying to him and telling him I didn't need his help at all. Then, the job I got was at a company that Demir bey was buying to put it under his own name: he chose specifically to buy it and incorporate it into his firm so I would appear as his employee, indirectly. He knew it would further disrupt the relationship with my family even more.

Serkan's speech seemed to strike at Eda's heart. But she listened to him, absorbed his words, trying to find in them the meaning of the two worst years of her life.

- And then I had to be a loving companion to Balca, deceiving her into thinking I was into her and accepting her every proposal. No matter what day, hour, or place, I had to be with her and her only. That's the reason why I lied to you so many times... That's why I missed the musical... I didn't mean to.
I know how that is important to the children, and mainly to you. I know.
Her father didn't even care how I managed my "relationship" with Balca, he didn't at least obligate me to give her kisses and hugs in front of everyone.
Balca was the simpler tool her father chose to get me away from you, and then I understood that her presence during my stage in Italy wasn't casual. That had been only the beginning of Demir bey's plan.
