You and Max walked side by side, rocks and asphalt crumbling beneath your shoes as you step outside of school. You decided to take the back way since it's a quicker path to the record store and as you're walking you spot something out of the corner of your eye-something standing in the middle of a grassy field just a little pass campus.

You stop walking and turn your attention to the mysterious figure, the small conversation you and Max shared coming to an end as her words fall silent. She turns to look at you, worried about your sudden silence.

"Everything okay?"

You nod weakly and point to the field "Yeah...but do you see them too?" Max squints as she peers into the distance "Yeah, yeah I do.." She stares for a few moments, then turns to you "It almost looks like-" You turn to her "-Will?"

You speak at the same time, a puzzled look etched onto your faces as you make your way to the brunette.

"Will?"

You call his name but he doesn't respond, instead he stands still, peering off into the distance. You furrow your brow and continue to get closer "Will? It's Ten!" You call out to him again, but like before, there's no response.

You share a glance with Max before looking back at Will. It wasn't till now when you noticed his eyes were rolled back, his body feebly swaying side to side. You quickly jumped into action, frightened and worried for the shorter boy.

You dropped your skateboard and bag, then quickly ran over to your best friend "Will? Will can you hear me?!" You hold your hands in front of him before gently placing a hand on his shoulder "Will! Please! Wake up!"

Your hands tremble, as does your voice, and you're forced to take a deep breath to calm your nerves before you turn to Max "Go get help!" She swallows thickly before quickly nodding her head.

Like you did earlier Max drops her backpack and skateboard before swiftly making her way inside while you stay with Will.

"Will? Can you hear me?!"

You curse as there's, once again, no response. Taking things into your own hands you relax your body and your hand placed on Will's shoulder as you close your eyes.

After sheer seconds your eyes flash open, exposing you to Will's vision. The once grey sky was now a dark blue, your surroundings grim as gusts of wind flew passed you, blowing strands of your hair around aimlessly.

Scanning the area you spot Will in the distance, a dark shadow looming over him as he coward away fearfully. You gasped and quickly ran over to him "Will!" You cry for your best friends as you sprint, but your calls are fruitless as the looming shadow brings down a smokey arm, forcing its way into Wills mouth.

You shiver in fear as you watch Will violently twitch and by the time you reach Will the shadow fades leaving Will to stand weakly until his legs give out, causing you to dive forward to catch the shorter boy in your arms. You frown and pant as you see a fearful expression on his face.

"It...It's okay! You're okay!" You stutter nervously as you talk and suddenly, your reality is shifted.

You took a sharp inhale of air, your eyes flashing open as you stumbled backwards. You feel hands on your lower back as they steady your swaying form.
