- I will report it. - He stood in shock for a moment and his fist flew into my cheek, dislocating my bottom jaw and making me fall down on my knees. But it didn't stop there. The nightmare only gets worse now. Note that we are in the damn hotel restaurant. He grabbed me by the collar of my shirt and pulled me up slightly. Not even a second later, a splash was heard and little drops of burning water dropped to the floor off of John's head.
He groaned out and hit my jaw from underneath, making my body fall back on the floor. His shadow traveled over me as he ran out of the dining area. My view was blurry but I could see Sam in front of me and hear people calling out for help. Even though everything was black, I was awake and could hear everything. - Take him to the hospital, quickly! - I heard an unfamiliar female voice. And soon enough I was lifted up by a pair of arms that held me firmly but didn't speak to me. A cold breeze washed over my body as they carried me outside the hotel and to the cars. I fainted soon after, my body too drained from the hits.
I woke up about a few hours after I was released from the emergency room and put into one of my own. Yes, I shared it with three other people but curtains divided us so I didn't have to look at anyone. Nobody was seated beside my bed once I woke up, and a bandage around my head was stopping me from speaking or moving properly. Soon a nurse came into the room and my part of it, smiling a little and rubbed my head while switching my IV.
- You'll be here only for a few days, then we'll tell your parents to come to pick you up. They have been notified already. - My heart stopped in my chest. I haven't even called my parents in the past few days because of everything that has been happening. The reason was not wanting to worry them, but now I couldn't really avoid it.
The curtains opened a few minutes after she left and Sam was staring at me with wide teary eyes and tear-stained cheeks before they sat down on the chair and grabbed my hand slowly, bringing it up on their cheeks, crying even more but with a smile on their face. I gently cupped the pale cheek and caressed it in circles, poking it slowly to make them smile.
- I love you too. - They said quietly and kissed my hand, the corners of my mouth lifted up. - Thank you for making my life a better place... I will report John to the police tonight. He attacked you twice and he doesn't deserve anything more or less. Now, I have to get lost before your parents arrive. - They got close to me and pecked me on the lips before leaving behind the curtain. I closed my eyes as I heard familiar voices enter the room. Mom and Dad. And a nurse.
- Thank you, we will be taking him home to Germany tomorrow morning and sign him into a private clinic. Please have him ready to go by then. - My mother spoke and soon I felt her hand on mine, then a kiss placed on my cheek. Soon, they all left me and my roommates in dead silence.
Since I couldn't turn my head, I forced my arms up and tapped around in search of my cellphone. But it wasn't there. The nurse came inside again and looked at me with a questioning look. I made a gesture like a phone and she luckily understood everything.
- Oh, okay. - she nodded and pulled the phone out of the drawer for me and handed it over.
I quickly grabbed it and texted Sam almost immediately.
I'm leaving tomorrow morning. My parents will take me back to Germany...
They saw the message almost immediately but left me on seen. It must be the shock, maybe they won't even come in the morning. I want to see them really badly. I looked at the clock, it was 7 pm now. It would break me apart if today was the last time I ever see them. I should go to sleep and just stop thinking about it.
Of course, I couldn't fall asleep. The bed under me was really uncomfortable and my back was in a very uncomfortable position. So I kept my eyes closed and eventually zoned out, but didn't fall asleep. But it didn't last long, a hum landed in my ear and I opened my eyes. A hand was touching my neck and arm.
- Wake up my love... - Sam's breath landed on my neck and a small smile crept up on my face. I looked up at them and pecked their lips. - I'll help you get out of here for the night. Can you move your jaw? - They added and caressed my cheek and jawline.
I slowly sit up, grunting from the pain and they caught me under my arms, pulling me down into the wheelchair. It hurt but I took the pain in. They left for a few minutes before coming out and pushed me outside the room and the hospital.
- Thank you... - I muttered despite the pain and hugged myself, coughing a little.
-Are you okay? - Sam asked and I nodded a little, glancing around.
They wrapped a jacket around me. We were going down the parking of the hospital and then the sidewalk, slowing down after some time. Sam stopped pushing me on a large open field and put a blanket down on the grass, helping me sit down on it. The sky was black and stars sparkled. All I could see was Sam, not the sky. They sat down next to me and gently laid me down on their lap, caressing my cheek and staring down at me. Tears started filling my eyes, knowing that this was the last moment with them together. - Don't cry. I'll come to visit you as soon as I get a vacation. I promise. - The pink pretty lips went onto mine into a deep kiss that lasted for a few seconds. They touched my neck and placed a small hickey onto the part under my ear.
-It's going to all be okay. - They whispered against my ear and pulled away, sitting up straight.
I smiled and slowly hugged them, closing my eyes. The moment lasted for quite a while and I enjoyed every millisecond of it. Drops of rain started falling over us and at first, we didn't really mind. Their hair was soon wet and our whole bodies and clothes were damp with rain so they placed me back in the wheelchair. I didn't want to go back. I want to stay in this field with them, just be close and hug their waist with my face in their chest.
I didn't want to leave England, ever. I would rather stay here, and face everyone than go back with my parents and have to tell them everything that has happened in the past days.
We reached the hospital too quickly and I was soon in bed and Sam was pushing the blanket on me. I looked up at them and more tears rolled down.
- Hey... Noah... Please... If you can answer this... Will you be mine? - Sam cupped my face and stared down at me.
I nodded my head yes and a lump formed in my throat. A smile stuck on their face and they kissed my lips once more.
- Close your eyes... - They said and I closed my eyes.
I heard the door close and sat up, crying out in silence. They left. I just hope that we will be together again once. My body was in pain but the sensation was still there from their touch, and my face was still red from the blush. I took in the pain and curled up in tears. My insides were squeezing uncomfortably as I struggled to keep myself quiet so I wouldn't hurt my jaw. But it didn't work, and sobs started coming out uncontrollably.
