Melody followed after McGonagall and a group of other students. She was stood beside Mrs Weasley as Neville spoke to the professor, as she was giving him instructions to blow up the bridge.
"Let me get this straight, professor. You're actually giving us permission to do this?" He asked in disbelief.
"That is correct, Longbottom."
"To blow it up, boom?!"
"Boom!" McGonagall emphasised.
"Wicked! But how on Earth are we going to do that?"
"Why don't you confer with Mr Finnigan? As I recall, he has a particular proclivity for pyrotechnics," McGonagall says.
"I can bring it down," Seamus nods, grinning.
"You do realise, of course, we can't keep you-know-who out indefinitely," Flitwick said.
"That doesn't mean we can't delay him. And his name is Voldemort, Filius, you might as well use it. He's come to try and kill you, either way!" With that she turned around and raised her wand towards the castle. "Piertotum Locomotor!"
With a bang, stone soldiers dropped from the castle walls and made their way down and created a barrier. "Hogwarts is threatened! Man the boundaries! Protect us! Do your duty to our school!" McGonagall leaned towards Mrs Weasley and I. "I've always wanted to use that spell!" She said happily despite the situation.
