The next couple of weeks after my meeting with Briggs flew by.  I had my computer Google alerts set for anything to do with him, but aside from a few minor hiccups he had been behaving.

Frank seemed to be very happy with his progress and advised me that all, but one sponsor had rescinded their threat to drop him.

"I hear things are going well with the new client," Tay says, as she places some files on my desk.

"So far so good, but I am finding it hard to believe he changed just like that. I think he has just gotten better at hiding his wild ways."

"Either way it is a win for you though.  His people seem to be happy," she says.

"I know.  I just wish he would see though sleeping with random women is not the answer to whatever happened in his past."

"And becoming celibate like you is the answer?" She says, raising her eyebrow.

"I am not celibate, just particular."

"Oh come Am.  What has it been like six months since you got laid?" She teases.

"Try nine," I say and cover my face.

"Oh my god.  How are you functioning," she says laughing.

"Very well thank you. I have my work to keep me busy."

"You need a man to keep you busy.  Specifically  one that can end your dry spell."

Just as I am about to answer my phone chimes.  I look down and see that I have a message from Briggs.

I look down at that message and I don't know how to respond to that

I look down at that message and I don't know how to respond to that.  There are little flutters in my stomach that are super dangerous.

I put my phone down and finish up my conversation with Taylor.

I try to focus on work, but my mind keeps going back to the message Briggs sent. He misses me. He had to be joking about that one right?

After trying several times and failing to concentrate on work, I decide to call it a day.

I decide that I need to go to my spot on the beach and just relax for the rest of the day with a good book.

I head home and once I get there slip into my favorite one piece bathing suit. It is light blue with small cut outs on the side.

I stand looking at myself in the mirror and for once in a long time like the reflection looking back at me.  I pull my hair up into a pony tail and slip on some cut off jean shorts and my favorite Green Day t-shirt. I grab my book and stuff it into my bag and head for my happy place.

I get down to the beach in no time and walk out to my favorite spot. It is relatively quite seeing as it's eleven in the morning on a Tuesday.

I place my chair in the sand and slip out of my shorts and t-shirt. Stretching my hands above my head and then sitting in my chair.
