Lacey Monroe

Entering the arena, my nerves start to kick in. Luke looks over at me and chuckles. "Hey, you'll be fine. The guys will love you, trust me." He puts his arm around my shoulders in an attempt to comfort me.

I blush at the touch and stare intently at the ground. "Are you sure? They've never even met me before." We take a turn down another hallway and stop at a door. He turns and stares at me. "I promise, they'll love you."

We turn back around at the door and inside we hear a lot of commotion. I definitely know now that this is the boys dressing room.

We go inside and all the chatter stops. A boy with shaggy dirty blonde hair comes up to me and hugs me while giggling. When he pulls back he announces that his name is Ashton.

Luke ushers us farther into the room and introduces me to the rest of the guys. We talk for awhile and find out more about each other. They honestly weren't what I expected them to be. I expected complete douchebag rockstars, but in reality they're just 4 goofs who happen to be in a band.

"Are you going to be watching our show tonight?" Calum asks while grabbing a water bottle. I nod my head shyly and he smiles a cheesy grin. "Sounds great! Luke, we have to do sound check right now. Don't worry Lacy, we'll be back in no time!" He throws a smile over his head and walks out the door with the rest of the guys.

Luke walks over to me and pulls me in for a quick hug, mumbling in my ear that he would be back as soon as possible. I mutter an okay and take a seat on the couch. I look around their dressing room and gawk about how awesome it is. They have a foosball table, a flat screen TV, and a soda machine!

While I was waiting, I picked up a magazine and flicked away through the pages. I came to a halt when I saw a page about 5 Seconds of Summer. It talked about their band life and even got more in depth about their romance life.

What shocked me the most was that there was a page of Luke and I laughing at the coffee shop. It captioned "Luke and mystery girl out on coffee date?" How did they even get this? I stared at this page for what seemed like forever, anxiety brimming in my chest.

What if someone saw this magazine? Someone who could know it was me and then everything would be ruined. All this time of running away would be for a waste. They'd find me and send me away.

With a hammering heart and a headache beyond belief, I grab my belongings and run as fast as the wind can take me.

When I got back to my apartment I felt so bad but I couldn't risk the chance of being there any longer.

How stupid was I to believe that I could hangout with rockstars and NOT be subjected to the world? Paparazzi follow them everywhere and if I keep spending time with them like that, they'll find me fast.

It's been a few hours and Luke hasn't called or even sent a simple text yet. I know he's probably performing or something, but deep down its hurt that he hasn't even tried to figure out where I am.

I know it's my fault that I left, but there's this aching feeling in my chest that I made the wrong mistake leaving.

I get up to make some dinner, and turn on some music to keep me entertained. In the process of making spaghetti, my phone starts ringing and I run over to my purse with anticipation.

I grab my phone and answer it quickly when I see the contact I.D. "Hello?" I answer quickly. "Hey Lacey, it's Luke. Wait... You probably know that." He awkwardly chuckles, making me laugh at his awkwardness. I walk back over to the stove and keep cooking. "Anyways, I just wanted to see if you were okay because you left without telling anyone. I got really worried."

I felt really bad after he said that. "Yeah, I'm fine now. I just was having a bad.... Anxiety attack. It was just hard for me and I had to get away. I'm really sorry about that." I said while rubbing the back of my neck.

"Hey, don't apologize for that. Never apologize for something as serious as that. Don't feel bad for something you can't control. I completely understand. I'm just sad that I didn't get to say goodbye is all." I took a deep breath, contemplating what I was going to say next. "Well... It doesn't have to be goodbye. I'm making some spaghetti right now. You could always come over if you want?"

There was a pause for a moment and then some mumbling in the background. "Lacey?" Luke asked a few minutes later. "Yes Luke?" I breathed out.

"Text me your address. I'll be over in 20 minutes."

(A/N: I am so so so so so sorry! I know I haven't updated in forever and I feel terrible about it! I probably wouldn't have updated even longer than this if some of you guys didn't pressure me into it (which I'm appreciative of). I know this chapter is short and sucky, but I've been super busy with cheerleading and friends and everything. I used to write on my school laptop too, and I had to turn it in for the summer so all my updates have to be on my phone for awhile which really sucks. I can't even use italics or put up my Luke gifs. Anyways, I hope you guys like this, and I love you guys sooooo much!)
