Lacey Monroe
It's been a few days since I saw him at the beach.
It's also been a few days since I saw those images.
Those small images have been haunting my thoughts every waking minute. Sometimes I sit up at night thinking about what it could possibly mean.
I came to Australia looking for an escape; certainly not this. I can't lie that whenever I'm out, I try to look for him. Sadly, Sydney is huge. He might not even be in Australia anymore. By the looks of it, he seemed pretty famous.
Sighing, I get up out of bed and trudge over to my closet, picking out my outfit. I then walk over to the bathroom and do my hair and makeup. Once I'm done, I grab my keys, shoving my shoes on afterwards. Locking my door, I walk over to my car and drive to the nearest coffee shop.
I walk inside and order my coffee, taking a seat at the nearest table. I hear the door open and see a tall figure briskly walk to the register. "Can I have a coffee please? Just leave it black." The barista nods her head and he walks over to the table next to mine.
He finally lifts his hood down and my eyes widen.
No.
No.
Of course it had to be him. It appears that he recognizes me too, because he walks over. "Hey. It's you again; that girl from the beach that ran away, yeah? I slowly nod and take a deep breath. I somehow conjure a smile, and awkwardly chuckle. "Yeah I.. wasn't feeling well that day. I'm surprised you even noticed me with all those girls screaming."
Now it was his turn to chuckle. "You're American huh?" I nodded, confused as to why he changed the subject. He explained further "I'm from this band, 5 Seconds of Summer. You know who One Direction is, right?" I nodded my head again. "Well we were the opening act for two of their tours."
Wow. That makes so much sense now."That's awesome!" I tried to sound as enthusiastic as possible. I don't really know how to act though. "So... I'm Luke Hemmings. You are?" He smirked. "Lacey Monroe. Pleasure to meet you." I laughed, extending my hand to shake his. He accepted the handshake and laughed along with me.
I feel like I should be reacting better to this information he just gave me, but I don't feel starstruck, because honestly, I don't know anything about this extremely attractive man in front of me.
"Your coffee's ready m'am." The lady yelled over the counter. I stood up and walked over to get it. When I walked back over to the table to grab my things, Luke spoke. "Do you live in Sydney, or are you just on holiday?" I stared at him confusingly. "Holiday?" I questioned. "Oh! Right... you're American. Vacation I guess you would call it."
"Oh. I guess I'm living here for awhile." He nodded his head, and smiled. "Well Lacey, I think that we'll be seeing lots of each other. It was an honor to meet you." He stood up and shook my hand, walking to the counter to grab his drink. Looking down at my hand, I see a small piece of napkin with a phone number written on it with a smiley face.
Oh boy.
(A/N: Honestly, I literally know NOTHING about Australia lol, so bare with me if I get something wrong. Don't be scared to correct me if I'm wrong though. Love you all!)
