Lacey Monroe
I've debated giving in and calling him, but every time I muster enough courage to actually call, something always convinces me in the back of my head that it's a bad idea. I really want to call him, but what if it's a fake number? Attractive boys like Luke don't just give their numbers to girls like me. Maybe he was just trying to mess with me because I'm new around here.
After a long internal debate with myself, I finally decided that today will be the day that I actually do it; the day I actually call him. I've been pacing back and forth in my living room like a maniac. I know that I'm totally overreacting, but I just can't help myself.
I pick my phone up and scroll to his contact without a second thought. After pressing the call button, I put the phone up to my ear. After many painfully slow moments, I finally hear someone pick up on the other line.
"Hello?" A deep voice says through the phone. "Uh... Hi. Would this be Luke Hemmings?" I pace around the room some more. "It would be indeed. Would this happen to be Lacey Monroe?" I hear him chuckle through the phone. I can practically see him smirking to himself.
"Yeah, actually. Sorry it took me forever to call.." I mumble, blushing even though he can't see. "It's totally fine. I was worried that I creeped you out by giving you my number though." Now it was Luke's turn to mumble.
"No... No! You were really sweet to me. I was just a bit nervous actually."
"Really? I was quite nervous myself." He coughed. I smiled to myself knowing that he felt the same way as me. "So, what are you doing tomorrow?" He questioned.
"Honestly, nothing. I don't know anyone here." We both lightly laughed. "Well, you know me now. Would you like to hangout with me tomorrow?"
I literally felt so giddy after he asked me that. I bet he could hear my desperation when I eagerly agreed. "Okay, so how about at 9 we meet up at that coffee shop and then I can be your personal tour guide for the day."
"That sounds lovely. See you tomorrow!" I smiled through the phone. "See you tomorrow, goodnight!"

It was finally 8:45 and I was all ready to go. My nerves were what was making it harder to get ready. I grabbed my car keys, and went on my journey to the coffee shop. I finally made it, with 5 minutes to spare. I got out of my car, locking it while on my way inside.
As I stepped inside, the familiar smell of coffee and doughnuts embraced me. I smiled as the memories of meeting Luke came to mind. I went up to the barista and ordered the same thing as last time for both Luke and I. After waiting another couple minutes the door opened, revealing a very flustered looking Luke.
"Sorry I'm late! They wouldn't let me leave until I cleaned up 'the mess I made in the bathroom'." I chuckled as he took a seat in front of me. "What do you exactly mean when you say mess?" The barista called my name and I grabbed our coffee. Putting his coffee in front of him, Luke smiled up at me. "You remembered my order?"
"Well, yeah. It wasn't that hard to forget, Mr. Rock Star. Now, will you please continue with the story you were telling me?" I chuckled. He took a sip of his coffee and cleared his throat. "Well, whenever I take a shower, I tend to get the water everywhere. The boys don't really like that, and they always make me dry it before I go anywhere. I was already running late from the start, but that only made me even more late." I nodded my head, trying not to let a giggle escape.
"So.. tell me about your band?" He smiled. "Well there's Ashton, Michael, and Calum. Ash's the drummer, Mikey plays the guitar, and Calum is the bassist. I play the guitar as well, but I'm the lead singer. The other boys sing too though." Listening to Luke talk about his band made me smile. He sounded truly happy and I could see it through the way he talked about the other boys.
"How long have you guys been a band?" I said, while taking a sip of my coffee. "Well, it started out with just me making videos on YouTube, and then eventually Calum and Michael got in the band. After awhile, Ashton became our drummer and that's when our band really sky-rocketed."
"That's really cool! I bet you guys are really amazing." He smiled widely. "Thank you. You know, you could always see for yourself." I furrowed my eyebrows in confusion. "I'm not quite sure I get what you mean.."
"You should come over to meet the band. They would love you. We're having a concert tonight, you could always tag along, and then afterwards you come backstage to meet them. What do you say?"
After a few moments of hesitation, I finally spoke up. "I would love to."
