𝟬𝟭𝟮 - 𝗕𝗔𝗗 𝗡𝗘𝗪𝗦

I dialled billys number, waiting for him to pick up.

"Hello? This is mrs showalter," a woman said.

His mom.

"Hi! Its y/n, may i speak to billy for a minute or two?" I asked, nicely.

"Of course," i felt a hand go over the phone, presumably so she could get billy.

"Hey y-"

"What the actual fuck, billy, what you told Vance in detention?"

"Oh...that, he told you? Why were you with him anyways?"

"I was at the arcade, now don't try to flip the subject, why did you lie?"

"I..dont know,"

"You seem to say that a lot, billy, have fun saying it when someone asks if we're together,"

I hanged up the phone, i forgave him this morning, just for him to do something again? Maybe i should just fully cut him off, i've given him a 2nd chance and he broke it within an hour, literally.

I heard a knock on the door, as i opened it i saw Gwen.

"Billy told finney what happened, then finney told me.." she said, "its not your fault, even finney is taking your side, robin doesn't care though,"

I laughed about her statement of robin, "come in,"

We both went up to my bedroom.

"Ok, in detail, tell me what happened," she said.

"Alright, i went to the arcade, i saw Vance there and he asked about me and billy, i said we were good, then he said that wasn't what billy said, and that today billy told him that i wasn't with him, i spoke to billy and then he said he...he said he didn't know why he said it, then i-"

"Broke up with him, but at the same time, didn't break up with him," she finished for me, as i nodded, "he's completely in the wrong, y/n! He had no reason to say that, when that morning he got you to forgive him!"

I nodded again, as she looked at me with worry.

"Ok, we don't have jack-shit to do for the rest of the day, so lets go!" She said, taking my hand.

"To where?" I asked her.

"The big arcade."

The 'big' arcade was basically an arcade the size of the Eiffel tower, it was huge.

And, i had never been there before, i would've, but i never got the time.

"Here! Try a claw!" She encouraged me.

As i slipped in the coin, i remembered billy had gotten me the lion from a claw like this. I moved the claw, and tried grabbing the elephant, it slowly carried it to the box before..

It landed!

"Holy shit y/n!" Gwen exclaimed, "you did it!"

I laughed as she entered a few coins for a different game.

"Come on Gwen, you got this," i said, as both of our eyes were glued to the screen.

There were 5 stages on this game, but it was so tricky, no one had gotten to it before.

"You can do this," i said, as the screen said 'stage 3'.

As her breaths became uneven she..died.

"Aw, bad luck," i said.

"Y/n, you're amazing at games, you try," she said.

"Alright, fine," i said, putting some coins in.

"Alright, come on y/n," she cheered, as i started playing.

By the time I had made it 3/4 past level 3, a small crowd came behind me, i guess no one had made it this far yet.

As i made it to the 4th level, every noise irritated me, i was scared id loose concentration.
I knew by the time i was finished with this game id have a shit amount of blisters from how many times my fingers were rubbing against the buttons.

Last level, come on, i can do this.

Half way through.

"Come in y/n..." gwen whispered, as i felt the breaths of people behind me getting louder and more surprised.

3/4 through, and this bit was tricky.

"Come on..." i said to myself, my heart beating.

My eyes widened as i saw the 'completed' sign on the game, hearing cheers behind me too.

"Holy shit, y/n you fucking did it!" Gwen cheered, shaking my shoulders in happiness.

"Yeah, uh, i've gotta head home now," i said, "but i'll see you tomorrow,"

She smiled, "ok! See you tomorrow,"

Went i entered the house, i saw my mom and my brother sitting on the couch.

"..whats going on?" I asked.

"Y/n..we've got some bad news, and you're gonna be upset," my mom said.

"What is it?" I asked.

"Well.."
