-🗞-

My brother came into my room.

"Mom said dinners ready," he said, before leaving.

I went downstairs and sat at the table, as there was an awkward silence.

"So..where are we moving?" I asked mom.

"Why does it matter?" She replied.

I furrowed my eyebrows, "jeez! Just asking.."

We all continued eating in silence, the only noise would be cutlery against the plates.

Once i had finished i put the plate on the counter then ran upstairs.

The phone rang, i was scared to see who it was.

"Y/n?"

Billy.

"Billy, what is it?"

"I want-"

"To say sorry?"

"Yes, I was a real asshole, i'll never do it again,"

"Thats around what you said the same morning,"

He sighed, "i know, im being for real this time, i promise...its been hard being away from you,"

Im scared for his reaction to the letter at this point.

"Yeah..ok, i forgive you, you wont do it again, right?"

"Promise,"

I smiled, "i gotta go, see you later paperboy,"

"You too, skatergirl," he laughed.

(That was the smallest apology every but i couldn't be bothered to write some emotional one 😟)

I sat on my bed, just imagining his face when he reads the letter.

Ill sleep on it, till tomorrow.

-🗞-

I woke up and immediately looked out my window, seeing that it was the time people would start walking to school.

And i saw them, Gwen seemed to see me too, because she pointed at me, and i wasn't even gonna hide, they knew i was 'sick'.

They all waved before continuing to walk to school, tomorrow morning, ill quickly go round all their houses and slip the letters through their doors. I still cant bare to see what their reaction is gonna be.

"Y/n! Breakfast!" My brother yelled, halfway running down the stairs.

"Coming!" I yelled back, going down the stairs too.

It wasn't as awkward as last night, because mom just handed us the plates and sat on the couch.

"Have you told your friends yet?" Josh asked.

"What? No..but i will, tomorrow morning," i replied.

I will, but by a letter.

"Do your friends know?" I asked him.

"Yeah, when we first moved here i told them to not get too attached to me, not because I'm so amazing, but also because ill probably be moving again in a few months time," he said as i nodded.

I went back upstairs and rummaged through the clothes box.

The jacket.

I stared at it, before putting it on.

"Why would you?" I whispered to myself, "why would you pick, me?"

I was angry, at billy and myself, he poured his whole heart out for me just for me to leave.

Its not gonna be a fun time delivering those letters.

I didn't know what to do, i had packed everything and was bored as hell.

Skatepark.

"Mom I'm going out! I'll be back!" I yelled, grabbing my skateboard.

I got to the skatepark and there was barely anyone there, just the odd few teenagers.

A few of them walked up to me while i was doing a few tricks.

"Whats a girl doing at the skatepark?" One of them asked, as their snobby friends laughed.

"...your mum," i replied, skating off.

(SLAY 😟💅🏻)

I went back home just before dinner, when i entered i smelt mom cooking it.

"Hey, make sure to get some rest, you've been out nearly all day and we've gotta leave early tomorrow," she said, like she was purposely reminding me just to piss me off.

My phone rang and i picked it up, "gwen?"

"How'd you know? Anyways do you want to hang out tomorrow, its Saturday anyways," she said.

My heart sank.

"O-oh, i cant tomorrow I'm busy, my family..we are going out for the weekend," i told her.

"Its fine! We'll sort something out next week," she said.

I tear came from my eye.

"Y/n? Are you alright?" She asked.

"Yeah fine, just..allergies," i lied.

"Oh, well are you feeling better today?" She asked.

"Yeah a little," i said, god i hated lying to her.

"Ok, well i gotta go, ill see you on Monday, have a nice trip!" She said, before hanging up.

"Yeah.."

That night i went to sleep, knowing i had to do the hardest job ever.

Posting the letters.
