Reader is shy and happy but can get emotional and are clumsy. The reader is human.

Summary: After a few weeks of working on Sega's new game with your colleague, Luther, you find a weird copy of the game containing a sealed soul...

You walked through the hallways with a small frown on your lips. You couldn't help but feel upset at your colleague's retirement. You knew Luther had a family to take care of, but you still felt the presence of sadness in your heart.

You had been working with him since day one. His missing presence was so abrupt you couldn't process it at first. All you knew was that he had gone on some sort of vacation. His family didn't really seem too keen on spilling the details.

The excellent news, though, was that you and your team had just finished developing the newest game of Sonic The Hedgehog. You didn't really know what to make of it right now, but you knew it would do well, possibly even better than before, in the gaming industry. At least you hoped.

You would have to wait until Luther came back so you could break the news to him. Then you could go get some dinner with him and his family. It would be great.

You weren't too keen on the idea of interacting with his family, though. You aren't good dealing with people as it is.

The smell of coffee made it up to your nose as you walked into the staff lounge. You took a deep breath before letting out a satisfied sigh.

It felt nice to finally get some time off after all of the hard work you had put through. Maybe a drink and some cookies would make you feel better about Luther being gone.

As you looked for a drink, you felt something in the corner of your mind pull for your attention. You glanced down beside you only to lay eyes on the empty trashcan sitting next to the table top.

You squinted at it for a second before going back to rummaging through the staff refrigerator. Your eyes scanned all of the items before you felt the sensation again. You paused before groaning and making your way towards the trashcan.

As you peered in it, the reflection of light hit your eyes. You blinked before processing what you were looking at.

A Sonic disc.

You stared at it for a few seconds.

Maybe one of the discs accidently got here. They were supposed to be shipping out to stores today.

You bent down and picked it up. You peered at it closely as you held it up.

It had the words 'Needlem0use' engraved with black marker. You raised an eyebrow.

Wasn't that the prototype name of the blue hedgehog?

You flipped the disc around.

Nothing else was weird about it. Maybe it was a broken disc or something of that matter.

You shrugged before pocketing it. You could possibly mess around with the code and find out what was wrong.

Or you could have some fun with the broken mechanics. Or you would end up breaking it even more, is what Luther would say. You smiled.
