Cuba though the thing he felt for USA was hatred. He never saw him as an ally or as a friend. He always thought of him as an enemy. A force to be reckoned with. Someone who was always trying to step on Cuba's toes.

But then something happened that changed everything. USA saved Cuba from a terrible fate. Risked his own life to do it and for the first time, Cuba felt something else for him. Something he never thought possible- admiration.

USA helped Cuba when he was in need and from that day on, their relationship changed. They started to work together and they became friends.

And now, years later, they are still the best of friends. They have been through thick and thin together and there's nothing they wouldn't do for each other.

Cuba is always amazed by the way that USA helps others, even if they don't deserve it. He has such a kind and giving heart, and Cuba can't help but admire him for it.

He knows that USA sometimes gets a bad reputation, but he doesn't care. He knows the real USA and he loves him for who he is.

"Thank you for saving me, USA.

You're the best friend I could ever ask for.

Thank you, my frienemy, for always being there for me."

....

Cuba woke up from his dream. Nightmare in his case. Being USA's friend? What kind of stupidity was that? But it was a nice dream. He dreamed of being surrounded by friends, people who cared for him and wanted to be with him. People who weren't his sworn enemies.

He got out of bed and prepared for the day ahead, trying to push the nightmare from his mind. Maybe it would be better if he just didn't think about it at all today...

As he brushed his teeth, he saw a new notification on his phone. It was Venezuela, his good old friend who he could always count on for economy trades.

He opened the message and saw that Venezuela had a new proposal. It was something about oil, but he didn't really understand it. He would need to talk to Venezuela more about it later.

Suddenly, his phone rang. It was Russia, another one of his good friends. They talked for a bit about the new trade proposition from Venezuela before hanging up.

It seemed like everybody was talking about this new trade deal today... He wondered what all the fuss was about when suddenly, there was a knock on his door .

It turned out to be China, one of his other good friends! They greeted each other warmly and began discussing the trade proposition in detail.

"So, did you see Venezuela's message?" - China calmly questioned.

"Of course, I suppose that's why you went here in the first place." - Cuba replied - "What do you think about it?"

China hesitated for a moment, as if he was trying to choose his words carefully. Finally, he spoke up.

"I don't think it's a good deal. We shouldn't take it."

"Why do you think that?" - Cuba said, as he raised an eyebrow - "Venezuela said he would give us a huge amount of oil for a very small price, it's a very good deal if you ask me."

"It does sound as an excellent offer, but I think he might be trying to trick us. He probably knows that we need the oil and he's hoping we'll take his offer."

Cuba nodded in agreement. "You're right, China. But I still think we should take the deal from Venezuela. Anyways, he has a very good relationship with us, maybe he just wants to help us out"

"I don't know, Cuba," said China. "He's been getting pretty close to the US recently. He might be trying to play us off against each other."

Cuba sighed and looked out at the window, that showed the landscape of the ocean. They had been discussing this for hours now, and he still couldn't make up his mind. Venezuela was a good friend of theirs, but they needed the oil desperately. On the other hand, if they accepted Venezuela's offer they would be having the United States right on top of them.

Cuba looked again at China.

"Let's do this. Venezuela wants to do a meeting to clarify the offer with the countries he proposed the offer with, as he said in the email. We should go to that meeting and see if USA has something to do with it. If not, we take the offer."

China thought for a moment and then nodded in agreement. "Alright, Cuba. Let's do that."

They stood up from their chairs and went out of the house. After they saw the front door of Cuba's house was safely locked, they started heading to Venezuela's house.
