Chapter 3 : The Journey

"Soldiers," we heard the voice of Berckshow booming from outside our tent. We walked out to see Berckshow standing in the middle of everyone, "I have gathered you here to tell you that the plans have changed I'm sure all of you have heard the rumors and it's my job to address them yes they are true now if I call your name please join me if I do not return to whatever you were doing,"
The whole group went into a fit of whispers before the whispers died down and he started going down the list, "Annalise Caustaryn, Jeremiah Farrings, Saylor Reign, Amber Jareds," he continued down the list of people but I stopped listening, "you ten will be heading down the river to Madriyn I will be staying behind so you will be lead by Annalise anyway your dismissed go get your things it will be a long journey."
"Well guess you were right," I said annoyed. We started packing our bags for the long journey ahead.
"Hello Mr. Farrings, Miss. Reign, and Miss. Caustaryn," Berckshow said walking into our tent, "ah I see you have everything packed well I am very sorry to have thrown all this information onto you with out warning but any way here are your maps and three compasses one for each of you and yeah you should have your water canisters you should be ready to go tomorrow morning," he smiled at us.
I grabbed the maps and compasses out of his hands, "what are we to do after we get through the mountains?" I asked.
"Well my nephew Andrew and his friend Reese will meet you there but just to let you know Andrew is from Envair and Reese is from Tathorn but believe me you can trust Andrew he left his ways behind a long time ago," he said and turned to leave the tent.
"Anna isn't Envair the kingdom of lust?" Jeremiah asked curiously while twirling a strand of Saylor's long brown hair.
"Yes, yes it is," I said.

Very srry this chapter is so short I couldn't think of anything else to write so this is what I came up with. Just like to say I'm not at all great at writing fighting in stories so when I do write them be prepared cuz they won't be great. The next chapter is going to be the start of their journey so be prepared for that. I'm going to try better at having an organized schedule with when I'm posting chapters so I'm thinking every Monday Wednesday and Sunday I don't really know but yeah. Hope you enjoyed this chapter.
