Taylor and Son's, Hawkins Indiana, 9:06 PM

Eddie and I had been hanging out every night since we met and I'd been having the time of my life. it wasn't always sex, sometimes it was just laying together and talking about our lives or our favorite songs. yesterday he said he had a surprise for me and id find out what it was today, and I'm so excited. it was hot today so everyone wanted cold beers, I was exhausted from talking to people and just wanted to see Eddie.
I locked up, pulled the door to make sure it was locked, then shrieked because Eddie snuck up behind me and went "boo!" while grabbing my waist
"stop!" I giggled and turned around
"How are you tonight baby" he kissed me and grabbed my hand
"I'm good, just tired. ready for the surprise"
"oh you're gonna love it." he winked and opened his van door for me.

- 9:16 PM
we pulled up to a trailer, and Eddie stopped the van "welcome! mi casa"
I smiled and turned to him, "what's the special occasion?"
"Well I figured you were probably tired of laying in the back of my van, and my uncles gone for a few days for work, so I figured we could lounge on my not-so-comfortable but clean and not made of metal bed."
I nodded smiling, and he lead me in after opening the van door for me.

he lead me through the trailer to his room in the back, gesturing to his bed, "I changed the sheets and everything."
"for me?!" I jokingly swooned onto the bed
"all for you." Eddie smiled, climbing on top of me "everything I do is for you. and id do anything for you"
I smiled, looking into his eyes. id heard lines similar to that, but this is the first time id ever believed it. his eyes were soft and sincere, his lips curled into a smile, "you believe me, right?"
"more than I've ever believed anyone about anything." I kissed him, twirling a lock of his hair around the middle finger where Eddie put his ring last week.
he pulled away, then rolled over and scooted up so his head was on a pillow, then patted the place next to him. I obliged, scooted over, and laid my head on the pillow, "you're right. this is better than your van.."
"I think I love you," Eddie said, and it sounded like he hadn't planned it. he was looking at the ceiling at first, then looked at me, "I've never been in love so I can't be sure, but I've also never felt like this about anyone else before. so it only makes sense. people might say that we're too young or that we haven't known each other for long enough but I don't care. because I feel like I've known you my whole life and I just want to spend the rest of it with you."
id never knew anyone so honest, and I'd especially never been with anyone who'd do anything for me.
"I love you, Eddie." I was on my side, my right hand on his chest. I could feel his heart beating as fast as mine, and I really at that moment could tell he wasn't bullshitting me.
"I love you." he smiled big at me, "I love you!" He laughed and kissed me, hovering over me "I never thought id get to say that to someone. not like this, anyway."
"me, either." I said, wrapping my arms around his neck "I love you, Eddie Munson"
"there's another part of my surprise." he kissed the tip of my nose and basically floated to the kitchen, I heard the fridge open, followed by a drawer, and then some silverware clinking, followed by the drawer shutting.
"I got your ice cream!" he shouted, making his way back to the bedroom "I found it. pistachio." he got back on the bed, handing me a spoon
"oh my god" I giggled, waiting for him to open it "hurry hurry"
"Okay okay, here you can have the first bite"
"such a gentleman" I tasted it, "mmm just like I remember."
"I've never had this before" he put his spoon in, grabbed a nice sized bite, then immediately made a disgusted face and spit it back into his hand "oh I hate that"
I laughed, "what?! you hate it?"
"I despise it, actually" he laughed, getting up to wash his hands
"more for me," I said to myself contently, leaning against the wall
Eddie walked back in, still chuckling. he stopped for a second and looked at me, then walked over to his camera, "stay just like that"
"what are you doing" I laughed
"I want to remember our moments forever" he took my picture, "even little ones. as long as they make me happy"
I didn't know how I got to be this lucky, to have found a boy who cares for me so deeply that he remembers random ice cream conversations as were high in the back of his van. I had fallen in love with him, effortlessly.
he put his camera back down, and scooted back next to me, "so how's your terrible ice cream?"
"amazing just like I remember."
Eddie chuckled and started rolling us a joint while I ate some more ice cream. I got about halfway through the pint before id had enough, and Eddie was done rolling the joint by then.
