Sunwoo woke Haknyeon up with a soft nudge. "Hakkie?" Haknyeon didn't wake up. Sunwoo kept on nudging the other until he woke up. Haknyeon groaned and rubbed his eyes. "Huh?" Sunwoo stared at the sleepy look his boyfriend had.
He was so in love. "There's food already. I just thought you'd like to eat." Haknyeon gave a sleepy nod and smiled. His lopsided smile make Sunwoo's heart flutter. "Thank you, Baby." Sunwoo opened the food container for Haknyeon.
"Sunwoo," Haknyeon began as he swallowed a spoonful of food, "What is your family's business? You did tell me that your brother is the successor of your family's business but what is the business?" Haknyeon asked.
The boy took a sip of water before answering, "They own a few companies, I suppose. Trading, malls, hotel branches- it's a lot, to be honest." Haknyeon nodded, continuing his food as Sunwoo talked. "My family is... crazy.."
"They also own.. airlines..." Sunwoo says. It took a while for Haknyeon to process what he said. It may seem like the dots were far apart yet, Haknyeon has connected them. "YOU OWN THIS AIRLINE? IS THAT WHY WE'RE FIRST CLASS?"
Sunwoo nodded. Haknyeon's face was stuck in a shell shocked position. He should have expected this, especially after learning about some of Sunwoo's cousins and their businesses, but that didn't prepare him to know how rich his boyfriend actually is.
"But- I- no offense but, why are you working then?" Haknyeon couldn't help but ask. Sunwoo gave out a laugh before answering his boyfriend's question. "My parents want me to have experience of being a manager. So I decided to work here."
Haknyeon gave him a look. "Let me guess, the hotel you actually manage is one of the hotels your family owns?" It was supposed to be a joke but Haknyeon was not prepared to find out he was right. "YOU OWN THAT HOTEL?"
It was overwhelming to learn that your significant other was actually very rich. He understood why Sunwoo hasn't told him before- possibly scared that Haknyeon would use him for money, but a warning would have been appreciated.
"I really hate you right now." Haknyeon pouted. The sound of laughter coming form his boyfriend made Haknyeon melt but he still acted as if he was mad- being petty for short. "I'm sorry, Baby~" But even when he apologized, Haknyeon didn't budge.
Sunwoo just kept poking on his boyfriend until he finally sighed in defeat. "I was scared to meet your family before but now, I'm terrified." Haknyeon says with a nervous laugh at the end. "Don't worry," Sunwoo says, caressing Haknyeon's hand with his thumb.
"My cousins and brother will love you." "And your parents?" Haknyeon cuts him. Sunwoo stayed silent. "I don't care what they think nor should you care." That statement just unconsciously made Haknyeon feel bad about himself.
He knows that Sunwoo didn't mean it in that way but the fact that he just said to not mind what his parents would say about him felt like a low blow. It felt like Sunwoo knew that his own parents wouldn't like him. He knew that Haknyeon doesn't actually reach their standards.
If Sunwoo noticed the bothered look on Haknyeon's face, he didn't mention it. "We have around 8 hours left. You can go back to sleep if you want." Haknyeon shook his head. "Am I allowed to go to Eric's cabin?""You can but he only has one seat so you might have to squeeze in."
Haknyeon couldn't care less about that and just left to find Eric's cabin. He just hopes the boy wasn't sleeping; waking him up is a pain. "Eric!" Haknyeon whisper-shouts. His best friend took of his headphones and look over at the boy.
"What's up?" Eric scoots over as much as he could from Haknyeon to squeeze into the cabin fit for only one person. Once Haknyeon was squeezed in, Eric knew he wanted to rant. "I am screwed." Was literally the first thing Haknyeon says.
"Sunwoo's family's rich rich! Like- RICH! All of his cousins are successful and his brother was the successor of their business- no, not business, BUSINESSES! I feel intimidated and scared and over all wanting to die and buried alive."
Eric listened carefully as Haknyeon ranted. When he was done, Eric lets out a sigh and pops a piece of gum into Haknyeon's mouth. "Listen," Eric starts. "You're my best friend and I know how hard you've worked to get where you are today."
Haknyeon drops his head down but Eric raises it back up. "If they don't appreciate that, that's their loss. You are an amazing person, Hak. You make everyone around you happy and especially, you make Sunwoo happy. Just remember that."
There was a reason those two were best friends. They talked for a while before Haknyeon had to go back to his own seat. He had a feeling Sunwoo was being sulky while he was away. "You sulky baby." Haknyeon laughs, seeing Sunwoo's sulky face.
Sunwoo wasn't jealous since he knows how strong his boyfriend and his best friend's bond is. But that doesn't stop him from sulking. "Sleep. We have 5 hours left." With that, Haknyeon drifted off to sleep once again with Sunwoo on his side.
It was 10 minutes before landing and all three (Eric is counted if you have forgotten) boys were getting their stuff ready. Their luggages were somewhere in the plane and so all they had were small carry on bags. FYI, Eric's bag was filled with candy.
"Who's wedding are you going to again?" Eric whispers when Sunwoo was out of earshot. "Sunwoo's best friend's wedding, Hyunjun." Haknyeon answers the question. "You know... I feel like I've seen that name somewhere but eh."
Sunwoo returned with his and his boyfriend's bags. Eric already found his and was ready to leave the airport and explore. "HYUNJUN!" Sunwoo ran up to a boy who was waiting in front of the exit gate of the flight. "SUNWOO! I MISSED YOU!"
Haknyeon and Eric watched as the two best friends reunited. It was a heartwarming sight. "Hwall-ah, this is Haknyeon and Eric. Haknyeon's my boyfriend and Eric is his best friend that came with us." Sunwoo introduced them to Hyunjun.
Hyunjun's cat like features made his eyes nonexistent when he smiled. "Nice to meet you!" Hyunjun exclaims, shaking hands with the both of them. "This is my fiancé, Yoojun." Yoojun smiled and gave them a wave. "I can't believe I'm meeting you for the first time!"
Haknyeon laughed as Hyunjun pulled him into a hug. "I know! It's so good to finally meet you in person." Yoojun grabbed Hyunjun's hand and whispered something in his ear. He gasped and says, "Are you guys hungry? I know some good food."
Eric grins. "I'm always hungry, don't mind me." They all laughed. Hyunjun and Yoojun led them to their car and drove off to a good restaurant that has one of the best authentic traditional Korean food in Korea. "Grand Plaza, really?" Sunwoo raises an eyebrow.
"What?" Hyunjun had his hands up in surrender. "Hyung isn't here today and you know what they say, support family." Haknyeon suddenly remembered the talk he and Sunwoo had. His first meal in Korea had to be in a place where Sunwoo's cousin was head chef.
