Eric screamed when he heard of what Sunwoo planned for them. "WE'RE GOING TO KOREA?" Haknyeon nodded for the nth time. "WE GET TO SEE KEVIN?" Haknyeon once again nodded. Eric squealed with delight and ran to get his luggage.
"We're going to Korea! We're going to see Kevin!" Eric sang over and over again as he packed his stuff. "I'll leave you to it." Haknyeon says. "I'll give you the tickets when I get them from Sunwoo. I'm going to Eomma." Eric nodded and waved his best friend off.
Haknyeon arrived at his house and greeted his mom. "Eomma, I'm going to meet Sunwoo's family and I'm scared." Haknyeon says. His mother stopped what she was doing and held her son's hands. "Don't be afraid, dear. They'll love you just like how Sunwoo loves you."
But Haknyeon had his doubts. "His relatives are high profile! Compared to him- he's just a hotel manager, but them? They're rich. I'll probably look like gum under their shoes." His mother sighed. "Let's shop for clothes then. You should look professional when you meet them."
The mother and son duo went to a store and started to search for some clothes that could hopefully give Sunwoo's family a good first impression. "How about this? A lot of idols in Korea wear stuff like this." Haknyeon's mom held up some clothes.
"Eomma~ I don't think that's a nice look." Haknyeon says. His mother could feel the anxiousness radiating off of her son. "Here.. How about this?" Haknyeon came face to face with a classic suit and tie- a black blazer, black slacks, and a necktie.
"You look just like your father..." Haknyeon's eyes widened but he just gave his mom a smile. She never talked about his father ever since his death. Hearing the words, you look just like your father come out of her mouth made Haknyeon beam with pride and joy.
They bought the suit and tie and went home to begin packing. They were staying for a week, Haknyeon remembers Sunwoo telling him. They would have time for free activities for the first 2 days but the rest of the week would be preparations for the wedding itself.
Soon enough, it was finally the day of the flight and neither Eric nor Haknyeon couldn't stay still. Sunwoo had to pick up the energetic best friend duo from the older's house and he was immediately greeted with squeals and so much high energy.
"Are we there yet?" They keep on repeating, even though they themselves know the way to the airport. Sunwoo would always reply with not yet but once they actually arrived- Sunwoo couldn't help but march their enthusiasm.
"Let's head to the Economy lane and-" Before Haknyeon could finish his sentence, a group of flight attendants came towards them and started to get all of their luggages. "Mr. Kim, we shall take your bags to the First Class section."
Haknyeon was shocked. "No, no, no. You must have gotten the wrong people. We're flying Economy, not First Class." But Sunwoo wouldn't let his boyfriend fight them and just led the two boys to the First Class Lounge as they wait for the plane.
Eric didn't even bother complaining. Even if they got the wrong people, who was he to complain about flying First Class? He wasn't the one who paid for the flight. But Haknyeon wouldn't let it go. "What do you mean First Class? Sunwoo, we can't afford that!" He exclaims.
"Haknyeonnie, don't worry." Sunwoo says in a comforting tone. "I got the tickets covered, alright?" Haknyeon stopped complaining but he couldn't help but think- how did Sunwoo get enough money for this? He must have borrowed money from his family.
But that doesn't make Haknyeon feel any less guilty. "Baby." Sunwoo took his boyfriend's hands and placed a kiss on both of them. "It's fine. Do not feel guilty, ok?" Haknyeon sighed and nodded. Eric, on the other hand, was amazed at the luxury of the First Class Lounge.
"Do we have to pay for the food?" Eric asked, all of a sudden aware at how expensive everything was. Sunwoo shook his head. "Go for anything you wish." That's all it took for Eric to start devouring all of the food they offer. That was an exaggeration but you get the point.
The three boys waited for their flight to Korea for around half an hour before they finally got to board the plane- the First Class plane. Haknyeon still couldn't believe they were flying First Class. He felt slightly underdressed for a flight.
"Eric has his own seat while we'll share a row, is that alright?" Sunwoo asks. "Hell, yeah!" Eric exclaims, already running to claim his solo seat. "After you." Sunwoo motioned for Haknyeon to take his hand and enter the row first. Haknyeon rolled his eyes but complied.
"Welcome to Golden Throne Airlines. I am Captain Mark Lee, you captain for today's flight from New York to South Korea. The flight would take 16 hours. Safe skies." The captain's voice echoed around the plane. It was then time for take off.
Haknyeon held Sunwoo's left hand and leaned on his shoulder as the plane took off from the ground. "It will be a long flight.." Sunwoo says. "Go to sleep first. I can wake you up once there's food." Haknyeon shook his head. Sunwoo sighed and started to play with Haknyeon's hand.
"How am I supposed to sleep? This robe-" Haknyeon points at the robe he was currently wearing. "Is more expensive than my monthly salary, I bet." Sunwoo laughs at what Haknyeon said, most likely not realizing it wasn't a joke.
"You're adorable." Haknyeon huffs and adjusts his position to make himself more comfortable on his boyfriend's shoulder. "Just sleep, yeah? I'm sure you had a hard time sleeping due to excitement." Sunwoo was right, not that Haknyeon would admit out loud.
Soon enough, with the plane in the right temperature, a comfortable robe on, the smoothness of the flight, and the fact that Sunwoo was beside him- Haknyeon soon fell asleep, his excitement and adrenaline rush leaving his body as quickly as it arrived.
