both akaashi and i have graduated from university and have gotten our degrees. akaashi was offered an internship with an editorial company in tokyo, so we've moved into an apartment together.

i'm working parttime at a bakery while i'm playing with the NEC red rockets.

my routine looks a little something like this: i wake up at six in the morning, i go for a five kilometre jog, i get to work for eight and stay there until two. after work i go to the gym for an hour before i go to practice. after i practice for three hours i go back to our apartment, eat a late dinner with akaashi, then i go to bed.

a couple things change depending on the day, like instead of going for a run in the morning i'll have a private skills session with our coach, and some days i won't lift and i'll have a skill session instead. i don't work on mondays and tuesdays. on those days akaashi and i usually go out for breakfast after my run and before he has to be at his internship. he's there from nine until five.

i don't really need a job right now. playing volleyball is my job. i get paid to be on this team, but having another job is good. i can put any money i don't spend on rent or food into my savings account, then when i have enough i can make a down payment on a house.

i don't mind working at the bakery either. it's easy, and the owners treat me like i'm their daughter. i couldn't ask for a better job. the hours are also flexible. i can take weekends off if i have games.

i love living with akaashi. i don't have to take two hour train rides funded by my mother to go see him anymore. he's always waiting for me for when i get home.

i actually haven't been to sendai in a hot minute. yuki has been coming to visit us instead of us going to visit her. neither of us have anytime in our schedule to travel anywhere. so she stays here and we spend time with her when we aren't busy. she's fourteen now, so she can travel by train on her own. we just have to pick her up from the station

we've been together for at least five years now, i don't think i'll ever get tired of being in his presence.

since we moved in together we've started doing everything together. we eat together when we can, we nap together when we can, we get ready in the morning together, sometimes he joins me on my runs, we shower together and we go on walks together. we're finally inseparable.

something i find a little funny is that i don't actually have his number in my phone, because i can just contact him through my thoughts.

it's currently five in the morning. sometimes if i go to sleep early in the evening i'll naturally wake up earlier than i usually do. i like to stay in bed when i wake up this early, i don't want to bother akaashi, he looks peaceful when he's sleeping.

nine out of ten times when i wake up this early i'm spooning akaashi. i have a theory that he wakes up at around five thirty to switch with me. i moved away from him this morning, he was sweating. i think he was too hot.

at around five fifteen akaashi groans and roles over to face me, his eyes still closed. i snicker at him as he searches for me blindly. he opens his eyes slowly.

"good morning." i smile softly.

"why did you move away?" he rubs his eyes, scooching close to me again.

he kisses me on the forehead before he pushes my head against his chest. "do you work today?" he asks.

i shake my head. "no, it's tuesday keiji. want to go get breakfast? i can run when you leave for work."

akaashi yawns. "what a coincidence. i was given the day off. we can spend the day together." he rubs circles on my back with his pointer finger. "let's just stay here this morning. we can make eggs and watch 'our planet' documentaries."

"sounds good to me. the episode about the sea though, right. i like that one." i say, my voice muffled by his chest. "let's start now. i'll go for my run at eight today."

i wriggle out of akaashi's grasp and climb out of our queen sized bed. i grab my pyjama pants that i'd thrown on the floor in the middle of the night and slip them back onto my legs.

i wander into our livingroom, which is in the same room as our kitchen. it's a small apartment, one bedroom, but because it's one bedroom it's less expensive. since we split the rent, we aren't worrying about rent every month.

i turn on our tv and open netflix. i then join akaashi in the kitchen. i cut vegetables while he starts cooking eggs. when i'm finished i pour everything into the pan.

"thank you, love." akaashi kisses me on the cheek. i like being the same height as him.

when we're finished making breakfast we curl up on the couch and watch 'our planet'.

"did you know that dolphins can be like, mega assholes." i take a bite of my egg. "groups of male dolphins will kidnap a female dolphin and-"

"i don't want to hear the end of that sentence."
