It was the next day. You hadn't said a word nor let Vance know that you knew it was him. But you could feel that he knew because you were acting ridiculously flushed around him.
The 𝐕𝐀𝐍𝐂𝐄 𝐇𝐎𝐏𝐏𝐄𝐑? Writing love poems for the 𝐘/𝐍 𝐘/𝐋𝐍?? Wow. Who would have thought.

Anyways, you and Vance had been working on your theatre project for hours on end, luckily you didnt have to go home yet because you left all the props and costumes at his. James found them very entertaining

"So Vance, you ready to be a knight in shining armour?" You laughed, looking at the costumes. "Ohh for sure.." He chuckled.
"A gorgeous, mean blondie one!" He teased as you playfully rolled your eyes.
"We are gonna nail this." You gloated.
He smiled.
"Wonder how Finn and Robin are doing. This is gonna be sooo amazing!" You practically squealed. Packing up your costumes.
"They would be the best couple at Denver High. Oh now I gotta make this work." You pledged.
"Best?" Vance raised an eyebrow.
"Mhm! I mean Gwen and Billy are amazing but Robin and Finney are just-"
You were overjoyed, until Vance cut you off.
"Personally I think that two very hot people would be the best couple at school." He tormented.
"Yeah? And who would that be?" You flirted back.
"Thats for me to know and for you.. to 𝑑𝑜𝑡 𝑑𝑜𝑡 𝑑𝑜𝑡." He whispered.
You were lost for words, so you blurt out, "Why don't we head to school. We need to do rehearsal and-"
"Yeah." Vance nodded.
You went to school.

𝑱𝒖𝒔𝒕 𝒃𝒆𝒇𝒐𝒓𝒆 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝑨𝒄𝒕.

You were getting ready, carefully putting on your dress as Gwen skipped class to help you. She knew your goal.
You were repulsed to let her miss class for this, but she convinced you to let her stay. You gave in.

"Gwenny, thanks for this." You smiled as she curled your hair.
"No problemo! Also I need to make sure you look absolutely beautiful for Vancey poo~" She mocked.
"Chill! Its a project it isnt like we are getting married!" You defended.
"Yet." She seemed deadly serious as your eyed widened.

As time passed, you went to go and see Robin and Finn. They were nervous, but really excited.
"Hey guys!" You waved. Vance was no where to be seen, it worried you.
"Woah y/n! You look awsome!" Robin complimented.
"Super pretty!" Finn greeted.
"Thanks. You guys look great too, yall excited? Romeos?!" You giggled.
You saw them both go red, you immediately looked at them both and winked.
"Ill leave you both to it.." you smirked.
They stayed silent.

After thanking Gwen, you made her go back to class. She shouldnt be missing out over this.
She would have killed to see it though.

You sat and awaited your turn, Vance was no where to be seen, your leg started to bounce and your hands began to shake. You saw Robin and Finney looking worried for you, it made you feel worse.
Not long later, the door swung open, as it always did. Revealing Vance in a knight outfit.
"You are late Mr Hopper?" The teacher scowled.
"This hair is worth being late to your dumb classes." He rolled his eyes.
"Just go to your seat." The teacher ordered. Vance obeyed. "Gladly."
He looked over to see you, staring at him with a sense on relief, maybe you were happy to see that he didnt leave you to do this alone, maybe you were just glad to see him, maybe you were vexed by him.
𝑶𝒓 𝒄𝒐𝒎𝒑𝒆𝒍𝒍𝒆𝒅 𝒃𝒚 𝒉𝒊𝒔 𝒄𝒉𝒂𝒓𝒎.

He walked over to you and took his seat. Your leg was still bouncing,

'𝑊ℎ𝑦 𝑎𝑟𝑒 𝑦𝑜𝑢 𝑠𝑜 𝑠𝑐𝑎𝑟𝑒𝑑 𝑦𝑜𝑢𝑟 𝑖𝑛 𝑎 𝑟𝑜𝑐𝑘 𝑏𝑎𝑛𝑑 𝑓𝑜𝑟 𝑓𝑢𝑐𝑘𝑠 𝑠𝑎𝑘𝑒. 𝑆𝑛𝑎𝑝 𝑜𝑢𝑡 𝑜𝑓 𝑖𝑡!' Rattled your mind.

You felt a hand on your thigh. Suddenly, your leg stopped bouncing. Instead, your heart raced instead.
You gulped. Butterflies danced around your stomach as you continued to look forward. Vance was looking down directly at you sat by your side.
"Chill babe. Your gonna be fine." He whispered.
'𝐷𝑖𝑑 ℎ𝑒 𝑗𝑢𝑠𝑡 𝑐𝑎𝑙𝑙 𝑦𝑜𝑢 𝑏𝑎𝑏𝑒?!'
You were bright red.

𝑨𝒔 𝒕𝒊𝒎𝒆 𝒑𝒂𝒔𝒔𝒆𝒅,

"Finally, Mr Hopper and Miss Y/LN, please preform your project." The teacher was smiling his head off.
You both stood up and walked to the front, this was either gonna be embarassing or fucking adorable.

𝑨𝒇𝒕𝒆𝒓 𝒎𝒐𝒔𝒕 𝒐𝒇 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒂𝒄𝒕.

"My bounty is as boundless as the sea, my love as deep. The more I give to the, the more I have, for both are infinite." You said, passionately like a true actress.
As if Romeo was not listening in,
A voice came from behind you, lovingly.
"Did my heart love till now? Forswear it, sight, for I ne'er saw true beauty till this night."

You turned around and you both ended the scene with a kiss. There wasnt anymore lines, after the fated kiss, Vance said, "For my heart, you own."
It was clear your preformance was at its end.
Claps and cheering furfilled the room Vance grabbed your hand and bowed, as you did a curtsy.
"Wow! That was outstanding! Well done everybody! Especially Y/n and Vance. That was a true production, a masterpeice!" He dragged on your accomplishment.
You and Vance both ran out of class, still in costume laughing. Your affection was clear.
You stopped with Vance, as he smiled looking into your eyes. You kissed him. For real this time.
