It was time for Art Camp at Camp Campbell. The children were instructed to draw something they really like.

-

Because of that most kids drew something connected to their Camp activities or hobbies. Like Nerris, who drew themself as a character from their favorite RPG game. Or Ered who drew herself doing a skateboard trick. But unlike the others, Dolph wasn't drawing himself doing something he enjoys, or even anything that has to do with any of his hobbies. Hearing todays topic he immediately thought about a person. Instead of drawing something that he adores, like Preston who drew a scene out of Hamilton, he drew someone who he adores. Someone that fascinates him, someone that has a special place in his heart, someone that just has something about them that makes it impossible for him to not think about them, someone that's way too freaking oblivious to realize that he has a crush on h-

"And what are you drawing?" asked a cheerful, red-haired man, snapping the little artist out of his thoughts, he looks up at the always happy camp-counselor "Oh, um, I'm just draving a... friend of mine.." he looked down at his drawing, only now realizing that he had put way more detail into this one drawing than he usually does. "Aw, well, that's just adorable!" David responded, smiling. Dolph blushed a soft pink "Yeah..." -he muttered- "He is..."

~

"Alright kids! Time's over, you can do your own thing now. Have fun!" David happily announced. Almost every kid immediately got up and started leaving.
Except Dolph. The half-german, half-american artist was still sitting there, looking at his drawing. He was genuinely surprised at how he managed to draw something so detailed in the short time of only two hours. After a few oddly long seconds of staring, he finally started packing his drawing supplies away. Just as he finished and was about about to get up and leave, someone jumped up from behind him. "Hey Dolph!" They exclaimed, smiling. "Gott, Space Kid. You scared me!" The artist said, giggling. "Sorry" Space Kid apologized, "Since today was art camp, I wanted to see what you drew!" The space fanatic said. "Oh. um..." Dolph looked at his bookbag in which he had just put his drawing. "It's okay! I can show you mine first!" Space Kid said, taking a not-very-neatly folded piece of paper out of his pants' back pocket and, excited to show his friend, quickly unfolded it. He held it out in front of Dolph's face and happily exclaimed; "It's tha spaace!" He grinned widely. The smaller boy giggled, of course he would draw space. "Your turn now!" Space Kid said while folding his drawing again and putting it away. Dolph swallowed, he was somewhat embarrassed about showing him his drawing, "Okay..." He slowly opened his bag and took the carefully folded drawing out. He took a small breath "Uh..." he showed him the drawing "H-here..."

'

Dolph's drawing was beautiful, realistic yet somehow abstract. He had drawn a beautifull galaxy, with a sun, planets and many, many stars. And in the middle of it all: the Moon. The Moon was drawn so carefully, every crack stood out. Yet, even though it was in the center, it wasn't the main point of the drawing. In the middle, balancing on one foot and almost flying away was an astronaut. But not just any astronaut. It was Space Kid. He looked as happy as one could ever be, grinning from ear to ear, while holding the pole of a flag. The Camp Campbell flag.
'

Whilst Space Kid was staring at Dolph's drawing, the young artist worried about how the slightly older boy may react.

"Wow.. That is...

so pretty!!" Space Kid exclaimed, almost screaming. He carefully took the paper from Dolph's hands "Is- is that me?" he asked with big, excited eyes. "Y-yeah..." Dolph answered, blushing a light red. "Woah, that's so cool!-" he said, examining his friend's drawing "Wait, weren't we supposed to draw something we like? And you drew me." Dolph's blush deepened "Y-yeah, well, I-"

"That means you like me!" Space kid concluded, interrupting the very flustered artist. He looked at him with a warm smile and a soft blush "Don't worry-" He said.

"I like you, too."
