I leaned back in my seat, raised my feet on the seat next to me, and strummed my ukulele gently. "Don't you think its a bit too much? Coming out of performing for over 2 hours in a concert, just to get in the car, and keep playing music?" He smirked at me.
"Callate, idiota (shut up, idiot). You get out of a concert, and not only do you play. No, no, no, you spend hours writing songs with the guys. So you're not really in a place to talk are you?" I smirked back at him as the others laughed at how he was humiliated by me, again.
He just rolled his eyes with a smile, not really having anything to say. He knew I was right.
"I was just messing with you," he said, ruffling my hair.
"Hey! My hair!!! IT TOOK ME HALF AN HOUR JUST TO GET THE FRIZZ DOWN!!"
"Alright bro, don't you think that's enough bothering my girlfriend?"
Me and my boyfriend said at the same time (though I was louder) as he wrapped an arm around my shoulders while at the same time plucking my ukulele and throwing it to the back.
"Hahaha, chill, I was just messing with my lil sis." He laughed
"You better." My boyfriend replied with a smirk, while acting as if I wasn't totally struggling in his hold to reach back for my ukulele while at the same time yelling at him for taking it from me.
"Kayla, Kayla," I woke up with a jolt as someone shook my shoulder. I looked up to see my mom staring down at me, and flight attendants helping take down the carry-on's from the compartments. "We're here."
I groaned and grabbed my stuff. I followed my mom into the airport, while at the same time thinking of my dream. It had happened two weeks ago, in Madrid. November 19. Three years prior, I had gone to my first concert ever to see this band I really liked, perform. Fast forward a year later and I was dating one of the members. Two weeks ago, that same day I met them just three years earlier, I was able to perform with them in the same exact stadium where I first met them.
It's so incredible how fast things can change, however. Now I was getting off a plane that had just landed in a small island in the middle of nowhere, with just two backpacks and my guitar. My mom told me it would be good to get away from the city for a bit, (we live in the heart of Bogota), and go to a place more... isolated.
I was obviously not happy at all, having to leave behind everything for the summer, including my boyfriend and his best friends, and of course my bff. We were all very close, his friends treating me as, and calling me their "little sister." We were always together. I miss my boyfriend most of all.
Speaking of... I opened my phone and turned off airplane mode. Almost instantly the messages came in, the first ones, obviously being from him.
✨❤️: Hey mi amor (hey my love)
✨❤️: Ya llegaron? (did you already get there?)
✨❤️: Llamame mas tardecito si quieres ❤️ (call me later if you want)
I smiled as I typed a quick reply telling him I would call him as soon as I could. I scrolled down a bit more to see a bunch of messages from my best friend.
