Chapter 3 The House

I walk towards the bright blue house and knock on the door. A woman opens the door and I look at her. She has bright red hair and some vines across her arms.

The woman exclaimed in a calm voice "My name is Aria. I guess that you are Aces recommended."

I murmured "Yes miss aria. My name is Sage. My friend and I were recommended."

Aria chimed "Nice to meet you, Sage. Where is your friend?"

I rambled. "He is still at home, he is working on setting us up in the case."

Aria exclaimed "Well come on in"

I walk into the house with Aria. She shows me into her living room and I sit down on the couch. She walks into the kitchen. I noticed that all of the hoses seem to look the same. I wonder if she will be able to leave this place too. I don't know if they would be able to leave with us. I don't want to forget about her and others. If this doesn't go well we could be harmed or even killed.

Aria calmly asks "you ok kiddo you seemed spooked."

I emphasize "no I am fine."

I see her walk in with 2 cups of tea.

Aria continued "I don't want to assume what you like so I brought tea."

I chimed "thank you."

Aria passes me the teacup. She looks at my bag.

Aria asks "Do you have the card? I just want to see if you have it."

I grab the card out of the front of my bag and pass it to her.

Aria asks "seems real do you have your friends pass with you? If you don't then that's ok."

I apologize "I don't have it, sorry."

Aria explains some of the plans "That's ok I'll ask for it when we go to leave. We have to wait until 3:40 or 3:50 in the morning. Would that be a good time?"

I chimed "Ok."

Aria noted, "I could explain that you and your friend are staying the night with me so I can teach you the ropes."

I see Aria walking out of the house and starts talking to the guards. She signals for me to go towards her. The guard that walks towards her kinda looks like a project. I think he is project 1248 or somewhere in between. Those projects are allowed to work for the SCF without issues but they have to stay in the foundation.

I see Aria start walking toward me and she hands me a list.

Aria whispers to me "go and get your friend and his stuff. They are telling the main guard to not check your guys' house. The guard that I talked to will remove you once I tell him."

I nod and walk towards the house that Kato and I Kato got. I walk into the house and look around. I see Kato getting up from the couch to greet me.

Kato asks "what is going on? Is there anything that we have to do?"
I explained fast "grab your stuff we are allowed to go to the bright blue house. She is going to help us get ""adapted"" to this place"

Kato looks at me weirdly and I point to his bag and start walking out of the house. I hear him grab his bag and run out after me.

Kato gushed out of breath "what the heck Sage you just can't tell me something after I walk out."

I continued "we have to be quick about this, we have to meet the guard in about 3 ish minutes."

Kato follows beside me and we get to the bright blue house Aria is waiting outside for us. I looked at Kato and he looked nervous. We walk into her house and I sit on the couch patting the seat next to me.

Aria bubbled "You must be Sage's friend. What's your name?"

Kato declared "My name is Kato project 406."

Aria exclaimed, "so polite, I have never met a project who listed their number too."

Aria looks at me.

Aria asks " What is your project number sage?"

I looked towards Kato and murmured "405..."

She looks surprised. Kato seems happy that I finally said my project number.

She murmured "wow the... I mean that's awesome. You're the killer."

I explain "I don't really like being called a killer."

Aria apologizes "Oh sorry I didn't mean it in a bad way. You helped the rebellion start up."
I ask "what do you mean rebellion?"

Aria explained "Ace saw the rebellion from the guards and he told me and my friend Jackson. He was part of a different project range. He is the guard that I was talking to. We both want to help the projects get out of here. He can help us get you out."

I looked at her with a smile and she smiled back. Out of the corner of my eye, I see Kato looking through his bag.

I ask "Kato did you forget something?"

Kato whispered, " just looking for my notebook that I was writing in."

I see him grab it out and start writing.

Aria asks "Are you both ok with sleeping in the same room? I don't have another room and there should be a second bed in there too."

I agreed, "I don't think it will be an issue."

I grab my bag and check for the small leather pouch in my bag. Kato looks at me weirdly. I grab the small leather bag and put it into the inside small pocket of my backpack. I know where it is, that's a good thing. Aria starts cooking and Kato goes to help. I grabbed one of the notebooks out of my bag and started drawing a design for the next armor. It hits about 1 hour later and Kato walks over and pokes me.

Kato sighed "Food done Sage. It's time to eat. Stop writing in the armor book and chill for a bit."

I get up and bring my notebook with me to keep working on the armor. I got distracted because I ate all of my food and continued to write and draw.

Kato asks "what are you doing?"
I asserted "I am drawing up designs for my armor. It is probably one of the only ways that we would be able to protect ourselves from the guards or anything that they want to throw at us."

Kato sighed "Smart we do need something to protect ourselves. There could be guards everywhere and we don't right now have the proper stuff to leave yet."

I pass him the notebook and I see Aria looking at me confused.

Aria asks "why would you need armor aside from protection? It would get in the way more than if you had just something normal on."

I exclaim "I am trying to figure out a way to make it light or easy to store because we can't be running out into a place with a lot of people looking like a metal man."

Kato exclaims "We could but they would think that we were guards. That would be a good idea but it could also be bad too. We could bump into one of the guards and they could ask us what division they work in or the codes on the badges. That is where we could get caught. I don't think we have that as a choice. "

Kato grabs the pencil from the spiral of the notebook and starts writing scenarios that could happen with each choice.

Aria asks "You both could wait until the next 2 join this, then we could send all 4 of you out and be protected together."

I explain "It's smart but.."
