worlds getting conquered

A couple of notes to keep in mind:

First is Kevin. In Omniverse, Kevin has control of his sanity when changing into the alien forms, so he probably wouldn't be as scared of turning into a monster like in Alien Force or Ultimate Alien, but still probably wouldn't want to risk it.

And about the Anodite powers: it's not stated in canon that Anodites can predict the future, but in this version, I'll add that to the list simply for the story's sake. With all that they are theorized to do with mana manipulation and their connection with magic and the universe as a whole, it's not too much of a stretch.

They finally head to Earth after a long and uneventful day. The gang hears a buzzing noise, then a high-pitched beep as the TV intercom makes itself known to the group. On the TV is Max Tennyson—veteran Plumber and one of the leaders of the Plumber organization, which is space police for the universe with their home base on Earth.

Ben and Gwen's faces immediately light up upon seeing their dear Grandpa Max. Seeing him always brings a smile to Ben's face—even in the darkest of times, he's been a pillar for Ben, a major support in his life.

"Hello, hello, anybody there?" Max is slightly annoyed but still keeps his exuberant "young" smile.
"We're here, Grandpa!" they both say in excited unison.
"Oh, there you are! So, how was Ben's mission? I know he doesn't like me sending reinforcements. I didn't hear from him in a couple of hours, so I got worried. Is he alright?" his voice filled with worry for his grandson.
"I'm fine, Grandpa," Ben said in a melancholy, not-so-fine tone.
"Oh, are you okay? You don't sound so good, kiddo."
"Yeah, I'm fine. I'm just still a little worn out from the fight. I'll rest up and be good to go in no time."

Gwen looks at him, worried. Ben never lied to Grandpa Max—but he did about this. That just shows how serious this is for him.
"We'll be okay, but you can always talk to me, Ben. I know this can all be a lot at your age."
"I will, Grandpa. Thanks."

A couple of days skip—

"You sure about this, Ben?" Kevin asked seriously, the engine of the car purring in the background.
"You remember the last time we messed with the Omnitrix? I got turned into a freaky alien psycho bent for destruction and ravenous for any energy I could find."
"Yeah, I know, but that's not gonna happen this time," Ben says as adamantly as he could. Kevin just looks on at Ben with suspicion.
"Um, okay. Then how, pray tell me, is nothing gonna happen this time around?" Kevin states with disbelief.
"Well, first of all, you won't be touching the Omnitrix. That will just be me. You'll give me directions from like a mile away where it's safe." Ben states with his cocky grin from this plan he just made.
"Alright. How will I talk to you then, Einstein?" Kevin says as the realization hits Ben.
"Psh, no biggie. We can just use the Plumber's badge communication system."

Kevin pauses as this statement just registers for him.
"So you wanna use the Plumber's high-tech, advanced communication system for emergencies—for hacking into the Omnitrix?" Kevin states.
"Yup."
"Gwen's gonna kill me."

An air of seriousness washes over Ben as he ponders the task he must conquer.
"Listen, I know we promised Azmuth we'd never do this again. And I know how dangerous it can be. But I'm running out of options here!"
"The longer we wait, the more powerful Vilgax gets. While we sit idle, there are worlds getting conquered. They suffer because I'm too weak to do anything about it!"

"But if I can just supercharge my aliens for a little boost, I may just stop him."

Kevin takes a serious stance of his own as he confronts Ben, placing a hand on his shoulder.
"We will stop him. Don't forget, we're a team. Besides, the good guys always win, right?" Kevin states that last part with a smirk.
"Alright, we're here," Ben states with a ding-ding attitude.

This quickly throws Kevin off guard.
"Dude, I think you gotta check your eyes. There's nothing here but a garage and desert that stretches for miles."
Ben merely chuckles at this and says, "That's the idea." He winks.

Kevin has known Ben and Gwen long enough not to question this type of stuff anymore.
"Yeah, okay. Did I ever tell you how crazy you are? Just thought this would be a perfect time to let you know."

Ben rolls his eyes, a smirk taking its place.
"Ha ha," he chuckles sarcastically. "Just—help me out, man."
"Got it!" Kevin yelps while running. He looks as if he'll catch a football at any moment. He keeps running for some time until Ben gives the signal.
"Okay, that should be enough."

He stops where he was and tries to observe Ben from said distance. There is probably a field of space between them.

Somewhere in the universe

As Ben and Kevin try and hack the most powerful device in the universe—known as the Omnitrix, created by Azmuth—something out of place is stirring within the great cosmos.

A voice as evil as it is loud crackles and booms.
"Did you lock on the Omnitrix coordinates?" he yells.

Vilgax is on a gigantic ship hovering with an army of Forever Knights. The ship is piercing and silver, like a fending sword.
"We are almost cleft, my legend!"
"Well hurry up—the faster I gain the Omnitrix, the faster I kill Ben Tennyson."
"Of course. It's our honor to serve you."

As the ship heads toward Earth, a strange sight gleams into view from the shrouded darkness. A man clad in metal, long hair, and a beard adorns his bruised and beaten face. He can only lie there in a cell unbecoming of royalty—for he used to be the king of Forever.
