Chapter 6

Location: Forks High Classroom
POV: Isabella Philips(Bella Swan)

" It's aight-alright", I gotta remember to talk 'proper'. I start paying attention to the teacher knowing Eddie is just going to stare at me. He slides to microscope towards me saying ladies first. What a gentleman.

I take it and look inside. "I'm going to assume that you were not gone because of me as well", I don't look at him when I talk. " Yeah I was out of town for a couple of days. Personal reasons", I hum in acknowledgment before telling him it's prophase. I wouldn't know none of this shit if not for the movie.

I learned this on paper not with a scope. My high school was a cheap ass school.

" Do you mind if I look", I look at him and nod. "Prophase", glad I got an echo. "What. Did you think I was wrong", he's ready to deny it and I burst out laughing before telling him I was just playin causing him to relax and chuckle.

" So, are you enjoying the rain", I love the rain but I gotta play his 'mysterious' game. "Of all the questions you could have asked, you ask about the weather", he can tell I'm joking so he lets out a soft chuckle. Damn that was music to my ears.

Oh Eddie let's get married now.

I give him a very poetic description of my love for rain but love/hate relationship with the cold, though I love snow, he goes back to looking at the samples.

"Anaphase", I hit him with the , "Well I might just have to check that."

He pushes the microscope in my direction with a face that says 'be my guest'. "Anaphase", I say while smirking at him. "Like I said darling", he smirks at me while making eye contact. Direct eye contact...while smirking. He knows what he doin too. I can stay calm. I will stay calm. I must STAY...AHHHHHH.

NOT HIM TRYIN TO BE JASPER. DID HE JUST CALL ME. DARLING. WHAT IN JESUS NAME. This man needs to be put on a leash. I can't let him win though so pet names it is then.

"Well baby I was just making sure you were correct", caught his ass by surprise with that one. He looks amused.

"Why did you live in such a hot place before moving here if you so poetically love the rain, is the rain what made you move to forks", I'm shocked yet again cause of the dialogue switch.

"Well I lived in Arizona because my parents got divorced and my mama took me with her and I moved back here because she got remarried to a minor league traveling baseball player", I feel so bad for Charlie. I will be the best daughter ever.

"Since he is a traveling baseball player, he is always on the move and she wanted to join him and I wanted to give them space and live with my pops, Chief Swan, and settle down", I think I kept up good with the new question with my limited knowledge of Bella's life before I got here.

He nods in acknowledgment and went back to work on them samples. Purrr smart guy.

"It's metaphase. You wanna check it", snarky ass.

"No no I trust you smart man", he chuckles at that and we go back to our work.

Location : Forks High Hallway
POV: Isabella Philips(Bella Swan)

"You know I've been trying to figure you out but you're much harder to read than everyone else is", we are at my locker. I haven't used one since my last high school experience and then Covid happened. Been almost 4 years since.

Shit, what if it's hidden in my DNA or whatever and I cause an outbreak here.....nah. I hope not.

"Hm...I'm very different from everyone so of course you wouldn't be able to figure me out", I know damn well he can't read my mind so I'm vibin.

"I'm likin the contacts by the way. Real pretty on your face", I want to see him stammer over them not being contacts. These characters...well people and their stammering makes me giggle.

"What contacts", oh you can't do that to me baby.

"Well the last time I saw you, your eyes were like a mysterious black but now they're like a gold-ish brown-ish color. You know what I mean", I stare dead into his gorgeous eyes as I utter those said words almost daring him to lie to me.

"Y-yeah it's the-um fluorescents" not a single word left unstammered. He stutters all of his words out trying to make an excuse for his color changing eyes. "Hm fluorescents you say. Well whatever lover boy."

I say to him jokingly. Much to my amusement he precedes to wordlessly stalk away like I've figured out his biggest secret. Well I kinda have but he doesn't know that so we cool.

Location: Forks High Student Parking Lot
POV: Isabella Philips(Bella Swan)

I walk to the truck feeling Eddie and the fam's eyes on me. Fuck I'm not prepared for this. What if he doesn't make it in time or come at all. Imma be looking like a scrambled egg on a Sunday morning. Lord have mercy on my poor soul.

I hear Tyler's car screeching and let me just say it's way faster in real time then through the TV cause I don't got no time to react at all. I shoulda kept my pasty ass over there and said fuck the plot. Suddenly there's a hand on my waist and I'm crouched looking at a hand in a van. Yeah he strong strong. My man, my man, my man. Damn.

"Hey lover boy fancy seeing you here in a place like this", Im breathless as fuck but I still get my words out. He just stares at me and precedes to jump over the back of my baby in the eyes of EVERYONE but somehow no one saw him. The art of production.

Location: Forks Community Hospital
POV: 3rd Person

Charlie stalks into the room and is automatically relieved when he see's his daughter.

"Bella. You okay", he asks Bella while walking towards her. "You and I are gonna talk", he says to Tyler. "You alright", he precedes to question Bella.

"I'm fine pops. Chill. I don't even have a flesh wound". Bella says trying to noticeably calm her father. "I'm sorry, Bella. I tried to stop", Tyler says.

"If you don't stop apologizing I will rip out your vocal cord so you can never apologize again. I've already said it's fine. I wasn't hurt in any way. Not even mentally so chill. Aight", Bella says to him.

"No. It sure as hell is not aight", Charlie says. "Da' it wasn't his fault. The ground was slippery", Bella says. "You could have been killed. You understand that", Charlie's says obviously trying to make his daughter understand the danger she was in.

"But I wasn't so we can all be chill and plus if I was I would have made sure to haunt him for all of this life and the next. Happy" Bella says causing him to grunt and tell Tyler no more license for him.
