//the truth will set you free, but first it turns you inside out\\

{Luke's POV}
My little girl has changed and she's changed me. Kylie has been different ever since I told her about what happened to my father. Tougher. She has grown into my life.

I had no idea what we were going to do about Jax looking for us and the police. I felt trapped and I was beginning to develop cabin fever.

"Luke, come back to bed," Kylie sat up and pulled on my shoulders. I turned my head to look at her over my shoulder. I sighed, bring my cigarette back to my lips.

"I can't sleep, Kylie," and with that I got up and left her there. I was nervous about the fact that I had put her in danger, nervous that I'd get caught, and paranoid about everything.

"Are you okay?"

"Yeah.. I'm fine, just go back to bed," I told Kylie. She was so calm about all of this and it was starting to get to me.

"You know it's all going to be ok right?" She whispered with her hands on my shoulders. Her words angered me, how could she be so calm?

"Kylie, you realize that we're both fucking wanted by the police? You could go to prison because you're harboring a fugitive," I fumed.

She looked at me, shocked and I could see a hint of confusion about my outburst.

"Why are you yelling at me? I understand everything fucking perfectly. I'm trying not to freak out about it."

"How? By acting like nothing fucking happened? Grow up Kylie, this isn't a joke anymore," I yelled, but as soon as I did I began apologizing. "I'm sorry, Kylie. I didn't mean that."

She looked at me hurt and then ran out the door. I ran after her, but once I was outside, I couldn't see her anymore.

Shit, nice going. You're on the run and you can't find your girlfriend because you pissed her off.

I walk around searching for her and calling out Kylie's name. "This isn't funny anymore, I said I was sorry. Please come out."

An ear shrieking scream came from somewhere in the woods and I ran quickly to find Kylie. I couldn't loose her again.

"Kylie, scream again I can't find you!!"

And she did, this time in the opposite direction.

I ran over broken tree limbs and random things people had dropped in the woods. I was out of breath, but I knew I could find her.

I turned a corner around one of the trees and saw her standing, emotion less, with a man holding her up against him, he had a gun against her temple. She didn't even seem scared.

"Woah, woah. I'm sure you don't want to get your ass kicked today, why don't you just let her go okay?"

"I'm actually here for you, Luke."

"Is that so? Then why don't you let her go. She has nothing to do with this."

"She has everything to do with this. She's the only thing you care about and that makes her valuable to me."

"Who do you work for?" I ask, inching forward in attempts to free her.

"Jax, you idiot. Who do you think? He's extremely angry about how everything went down with her. He wants you and her, dead."

"Well now I want you dead," I swerved around him grabbing his arm with the gun and twisted it behind his back. Kylie moved away standing next to me.

"Go back to the house. I'll be there in a few, it's not safe out here."

"I'm not leaving you, Luke." I looked up her and sighed.

"Fine, hold his other arm and walk towards the house, he's coming with us."

__

"How did you know where we were." I asked with a stiff voice. I was sitting down in front of the still unknown man while he was tied to a chair.

"Jax knew where you were before you even got here. He was just waiting for the right time to send me," he smirked. "And I can't wait to kill you."

"You won't get that chance unfortunately," I smirked back. Meanwhile Kylie walked towards me handing me my gun and sitting on my lap.

"Just like you didn't get a chance to say goodbye to your mother?" He laughed.

"What the fuck are you talking about?!" I stood over him.

"Oh yeah, your mother screamed and screamed before I cut her throat. All she wanted was to say goodbye to you."

It felt as if I was blacking out, my finger tightened around the trigger as I brought my arm forward. Tears were swelling in my eyes and before I knew what was happening he was dead and Kylie was gasping.

"Luke, are you okay?" She asked, tugging at my arm. I stumbled backwards and looked up at her. "What are we going to do now? You killed him, Luke."

I started pacing back and forth. My hands rubbed my head with the gun still in one. I grabbed Kylie by the shoulders and looked at her.

"We're leaving the country, tonight."
