His body was numb yet burning in dull pain. Everything was flashing in a confusing blur. The noise of panicked voices going in hazy ringing. But in the midst of dread, one thing stood out the most to his disoriented mind. The hand tightly holding his wrist like the world depended on it. The voice calling for his name begging him to hold on. In the midst of such confusing chaos, he's the only one Minhyuk can recognize.

What happened?

What's happening?

He wanted to ask, but couldn't in such state he was in. Breathing was hard, keeping his eyes open was too. He couldn't move, he couldn't think. The last thing he remembered was being in a car on his way—where was it again?— he can't even remember where he was supposed to go. It only took a blink of an eye and he was lying on a stretcher, people on both sides rushing him inside what he can only assumed was a hospital.

"Jo... Jooheon.."

He called, in such weakness, it was left unheard. He can't find the loud voice he usually has. His throat burning, and felt dry yet clogged by a pooling warm liquid inside.

"I'm sorry, Sir. You're not allowed inside"

"No, wait-"

"Sir, you need to get treated too"

"We'll take care of him"

"Let me be with him, please...wait... Min-"

The hand that was holding his was wrenched away. It went back to grab him, only to be forcefully yanked away again. His way to wherever he was supposed to go was momentarily halted due to the commotion.

Treated? Oh no, is Jooheon hurt too?

Minhyuk thought in worry, hearing the confusing voices around him, all sounds in such distance except one. He can hear how Jooheon argued with others, not wanting to leave his side. Minhyuk didn't know what was happening, but he was moved again at much faster pace, he heard two doors opening and him being rushed inside, Jooheon's comforting presence gone.

In such disoriented and tired state, he watch the people around him work in just swift panicked yet trained professionalism, proof of experience with such situations. By this time Minhyuk already managed to comprehend what was going on. He gained idea of what had happened and knew he's in a very concerning position. But despite that, he found himself relieved with the thought the other is probably in a better state than he was. But still he wished he was more fine than he thinks.

Minhyuk blinked slow, feeling himself slipping in and out. He was feeling sleepy, like he had not sleep in ages. But he fight the urge to, he tried all his might but soon felt himself dropped.

It felt like a high fall, as if he was pushed down from a high building. Flashes of his life shown themselves one by one around him as he fall. Then suddenly, it was nothing.

No sound, no objects, just nothing.

It felt peaceful, at ease. As if all the weight on his shoulders were lifted. He felt like he was floating into nothingness. For a second, for an eternity, his mind can't compherehend the length of time he was in that void. And before he could even question anything, he felt himself get sucked by something like a black hole. Vivid colors of his life played once again but in much faster incomprehensible blur.

He open his eyes after he fell face first on a tiled floor. Slowly standing up, he held his head that surprisingly felt no pain after the fall. He was in a hospital hallway. He felt confused, he didn't remember going there with his own feet, last time he remembered was sitting in a car. One blink, he was rushed to the hospital. One blink, and he...he was still in one. But in a different position. He was not lying, he was not feeling any numb pain, he was fine. Was it a dream? If so why was he on the hospital floor? Is he still dreaming? Or was it just a hallucination? But how did he got to the hospital? Shaking his head, he rubbed both of his temple using his thumb and pointer finger. Had he been having memory gaps? What's going on.
