“Well, well, well. The great Mister Denver Giordano had managed to unleash a pool of milk just by the sight of my beautiful naked painting!”
Henry Harker’s voice startled Denver. His bestfriend was already inside his penthouse unbeknownst to him.
“How did you—” He shook his head in dismay. Denver almost forgot that Henry’s the youngest son of this condominium’s owner.
‘Surely, this kid is very much lucky that I still have self-control within me,’ he thought while pretending he wasn’t bothered.
“Why didn’t you come to my exhibit earlier, Dennie?” A hint of slight irritation was heard on Henry’s voice. Denver felt like being thrown in the pit of a volcano due to that question.
“I was busy.”
“Busy with what?”
“With who is the right question, Henry.”
Henry’s face brightened as if he already knew the cause of his apparent busy-ness.
“I see. What’s her name?”
Denver was astonished. “I didn’t say it was a girl.”
“I know you, Denver. You’re only very ‘busy’ if it involves with a girl, a woman, or a lady. Probably all of those.”
Denver threw his hands in the air. “Fine. You win this time, Henry.”
Henry chuckled as he grabbed the brandy from his hands.
“Hey! That’s mine!”
“Sharing is caring, brother.”
Denver crossed his arms as a way to keep his hands to himself and not land on the face of his best friend.
He heard Henry’s satisfied ‘ahh’ upon drinking a quarter from the bottle of brandy. “So, tell me about her.”
He shrugged his shoulders and grabbed a bowl of peanut to quench his thirst for the beverage that was still in the hands of Henry Harker.
“She’s the girl that my mother liked very much.”
“Oh! You mean the secretary of one of the managers under you?”
He nodded in agreement. Denver seized a handful of peanuts and into his mouth. “I heard she’s beautiful and… well, sexy.”
Denver glared at his bestfriend, who happens to be looking in the same direction to where he was.
“Come on, Denver! You’re being too serious!”
“Serious is good.”
“So is fun. Speaking of it, I have something for you.”
Henry grabbed something from his pocket and pulled out a black shinning card.
Denver already knew what it was by just a glance at it.
“No.”
“What? I just—I’ve bought it for a hundred dollars, Dennie!”
He rolled his eyes, like a pissed off woman who can’t take an insult anymore.
“Don’t tell me it’s the same place, hmm?”
He smiled. Denver rolled his eyes again.
“Oh Henry please! I’m about to be married in a month!”
“To the woman who you’ve hired to occupy your bed? I guess that’s legit now these days, hmm?”
Denver was about to open his mouth to protest when Henry showed him a picture of an unclothed woman from his mobile phone.
