“Like my car?”

Wisdom wandered her eyes around, inside the air-conditioned car.

“I bet so. It looks very… expensive.”

She saw in the corner of her eyes that the brute smirked.

“I have a taste for expensive things.”

Their eyes met. One may suggest that it was sweet. But, it made Wisdom’s heart beat faster.

Denver held her hand, making her hold his piercing billionaire-ish stare.

Their eyes locked each other further.

“As clear as I remember, a wife never hesitates to kiss her husband.”

Wisdom’s heart could’ve leaped away from her chest. Yet, she kept on holding on into herself. She did not also notice that she was holding his hand and him to hers.

‘Darn it!’ She shrieked deep inside her.

“So, where’s my kiss?” Denver kept on teasing and provoking her.

With the chauffeur watching and her heart throbbing, Wisdom Linnea Weisz had no choice but to kiss Denver Giordano… on his cheeks.

***

“Only in cheeks?” He frowned in dismay.

She scowled. “You only said a kiss. And you didn’t mention that my lips should land on your lips as well...”

He let go of her hand and crossed his arms on his chest.

“You are one stubborn bee, honey…” Denver stated as he beheld her chin that made Wisdom quiver more on the inside.

“You’re shaking again.”

“I am cold.”

He gave her a breathy laugh again. “Your skin is sensitive… or it’s just you’re a pretty little liar?” Denver then caresses her smooth skin as a tease. His fingers were cold and warm at the same time. She couldn’t discern which is which. But one thing is certain: that caress sent her shaking on the inside and she almost ‘came’ down there.

‘Dammit, Wisdom! How could you come with a single touch of this brute!!!’

“It seems you want to scream, dear Wisdom,” Denver is now closer, an inch away from her lips. Never mind the cold, she was blazing due to his warm breath almost on her lips. His hands are firmly holding her arms, locked.

She can’t move. They can’t move.

“Sweet Wisdom. Your name is such a fancy one. I suggest you often use what was named after you then.”

Denver then parted away.

Wisdom grimaced as if she just swallowed a whole yellow lemon.

‘Right. You haven’t been using wisdom, Wisdom?!’ She thought, lecturing herself.

“The paper is on top of OUR bed. Sign it before I return this evening,” Denver reminded before opening the door by her side and beckoned her to go upstairs at the penthouse first.

“Password is your name. All capitals.” He then kissed her on the cheek. “Because you’re the capital of my world, baby.”

She watched the car turn at the corner and vanished before her very sight.

“Gosh, she’s so hot and romantic and… dominant.” A woman beside her uttered. Her clothes look very much expensive.

“What are you doing here, Candice?”
