Wisdom’s PPOV
“Denver…” I sang his name between my lips.
But the hot devil just gave me a wolfish grin. “Ever since you became the moon of my gloomy night, I knew you will be my morning star ever since.”
“Denver…” Tears are now rolling down my face. He grabbed my right hand and brought it closer to his face.
“I can't imagine growing old with anyone else, nor do I want to. From the moment I beheld the gorgeous face of a lass who bumped into me, I know you're the only one I want to share the rest of my life with.”
“Denver, I ca—"
Looking around, the people started taking pictures and videos at us. I can’t help but cry. Cry with tears of delight. I cry… for I know that these tears of a woman being proposed will only shed for once in a lifetime.
“The story of our love is only beginning. Why don't we write our own happy ending, my Wisdom? For you are my princess and I am your king. And the moment you'll say yes is the moment that I'll see my Queen Wisdom walking down the aisle in a white wedding dress.”
“I don’t know what else to say, Denver.”
“Then don’t say something, Wisdom,” he whispered to me. “Feel it. Feel this moment. Feel your love for me, your feelings for me. And the moment you’ve fathomed it, that’s the time you can now say something to me.”
And so I did feel it. Just like what Denver told me, I feel it—while keeping my sobbing to a minimum volume.
Denver Dennis Giordano is indeed proposing to me amidst the crowd of people in this park.
"There are many ways to be happy in this life, but all I really need is you. When I look into your eyes, I can see a reflection of the two of us and the life I hope we'll share together. When I look into my heart, I see only you. If you can look into your heart and only see me, then we should spend the rest of our lives together." He kept on reciting those lovely words that I didn’t even once hear from the mouth of Richard.
The people around us began to cheer loudly but still, I could only hear Denver’s beautiful words piercing in my soul—like an arrow in my lovesick, longing heart.
"I promise you, no one will work harder to make you happy or cherish you more than me. When I think about you, I know that no one else will ever hold my heart the way you do. When I think of the future, I like to picture us as two roses planted side-by-side, our roots growing together more firmly as the years go by, and our children sprouting like the petals. Life offers many obstacles, there’s no doubt about that. I know I can meet them if you're willing to face them with me. When I met you, I knew I'd met my match—the butter to my bread, the song to my music, the roses to my thistles. It was only a matter of time until we arrived at this moment. How it turns out is all in your hands."
Every word he says is magnetic. Like how a woman should be serenaded, should be praised, should be invited to the altar of matrimony.
"You deserve the very best, Wisdom Linnea Weisz. You deserve someone who will back you up without limits, let you grow without borders, and love you without end." I see the tiny waters formed in Denver's eyes as well. "Will you let me be the one?"
"Yes," I breathed. "Yes, Denver Dennis Giordano. I will let you be the one to hold the half of my heart for the rest of my life."
Then he slid that blue diamond ring on my ring finger before crushing his lips into mine.

Denver’s POV
“Are you ready to meet my parents?”
My fiancée, who I just officially declared to a bunch of people earlier, just beamed at me as she scrolled through her social media account.
“I don’t feel excited. But I don’t feel anxious either,” she replied as she brushed her quivering fingers into my cheeks.
“I see,” I managed to throw that in a sarcastic way.
“It’s cold, that's why I’m trembling.”
“I didn’t ask that, dearest,” I smirked.
She threw me an irritated glare but eventually nudged me by the elbow. “Are you sure they’re nice?”
I smiled, sweetly. “They are a thousand percent nice. I’ve been telling them about you for the past months.” She instead stroked my groin in answer. “The dragon’s sleeping,” I said with a feline grin.
“Oh Denver!” Wisdom exclaimed that resulted in both of us cackling.
I just continued to drive when she suddenly asked me a serious question.
“Dyana posted in her social media that you and her dated in the bar where you had your first sex. Can you please elaborate that to me?”
I tried to avoid her beautiful but seductive eyes. Sighing, I answered her query with sheer honesty. “I just told her to quit messing and interrupting our lives before slapping her in front of the bartender and other customers at that bar.”
“You slapped her?”
“Yes. I did that to remind her where she should be. That our so-called relationship has ceased. That threatening you and trying to heat up a disagreement between us greatly angered me.”
“You slapped her?”
I finally peered at her. “I fucking did, didn’t you hear what I just said?”
But the witch smiled. “There, there. I finally saw your warm smoking eyes.”
“Why? Have you seen the smoke come out of my eyes?” I teased.
She just uncrossed her arms and faced the window beside her while clutching to her engagement ring. “I knew she was lying,” Wisdom muttered in a soft voice. “The picture she sent to me… the clock beside the bed dates back a year ago.”
“A keen observer,” I squeezed her leg. “Lesson learned: always put a clock that says the time and date beside your table.”
Our boisterous laughter reverberated inside the car once more.
“One more thing, I just received my monthly salary just yesterday. That was huge!” Wisdom claimed.
“Of course. Anything for my wife for hire,” I purred.
“So, I am not your hired wife anymore when I become Mrs. Denver Giordano?”
“Let’s just say you have been promoted because of your immense value to my company.” Wisdom giggled as she stroked repeatedly the monster beneath my pants.
“Can I have a snack, darling?” Seeing her puppy eyes, I couldn’t say no. Heaven knows how hungry this woman is.
So, I parked at the nearby tree amidst the quiet road towards my parents’ abode and unbuckled my jeans—letting Wisdom Linnea Weisz have her afternoon snack.
