[NOT A SHIP| Past conversation in italics]

I never regretted any of my decisions, nor did I have any bad intentions.

"I-I am sorry..."

So when I realized my mistakes, the crown of perfection disappeared into the thin air and I ensured it never came back.

I was always told that I am a perfect child.

Never disobeyed my parents. Have a lot of friends. Reasonably good at studies. Not only that, but I was good at blading. I even got compliments that I look good.

However, it all makes me insecure. All those compliments, the fact that how lucky I am, the way everyone pictured me. In reply, I just said, "Thank you,"

Somewhere, Inner me scoffed at myself. Such a form of hypocrisy. It's good to get compliments indeed. Rather, I should be happy about it, but unknowingly, I hated it. Somewhere, it felt like it was not me they are complimenting.

That's Shu Kurenai for you. Wearing a mask of decency and compassion, he was just a kid unknown to himself.

All the credits they gave me, and every time I feel guilty. Why? I didn't know the answer. I don't think I can solve this problem by myself.

Standing so high here, I can see every single view. America sure has a nice view. I never imagined I will be able to compete in the Grand arena. But something feels off. It's not that I lose. It feels like I have been stabbed by a knife in the heart. Guilt.

I don't see a way to get forgiveness for my actions.

"Shu?"

I get out of my world of overthinking after hearing a familiar voice. I looked behind to see the familiar hazel eyes filled with worry. I immediately smiled, "Valt, What are you doing here?"

"You weren't coming down, so I came to check," he said, walking towards me and soon standing behind me, viewing the rocky hills.

"Ah, sorry for making you wait. You could call me. Let's get going then-" I paused and looked at him. He didn't reply but kept staring at the view. "Valt?"

"You always told me not to worry much," he said, as I stared at him with confusion. When he turned around and our eyes met, I realized I was being such an idiot.

Two Years Ago

"You see my new blade! It's cool, isn't it?"

"It is...!"

When I first saw the Beyblade that my best friend, Valt, showed me, I was fascinated. It looked sparkling in my eyes. Soon after, when I also got my blade, we kept battling and never stop till the evening.

Valt was always the winner. He defeated me every time like it was nothing. That was when I asked him, "How did you get so strong?" I laughed, picking up my Beyblade. Before I could pick it up, Valt picked it and passed it to me.
