Se*ual assault warning

15. Part

Chaiko's point of view

There was eery yet quiet music playing, but for all the tries I have made,
I still couldn't figure out where it was coming from.
My thoughts were hazy, and my heart was palpitating.
With every new thought created, I just wanted to stay more.
I actually belong here.
After everything I've gone through, I actually have people here. My friends.
I could still feel Ryuko's arms still wrapped around my waist as I was lying close to him.
I was scared of all the people around us, but it was going to be all over soon.

Mhm...

No more acts, no more masters, no more buyers.
I will be home.
With all of them.

"Hey... Wake up..."

The years I've spent here, in all the different Circuses, were a nightmare.
But, still, they have given me something I would never get any other way.
Under any circumstances.

Strength.
Knowing what I am.
Resilience.
Those I can truly count on.

And I haven't regretted one day.

"I'm getting worried, come on..."

Suddenly, my surroundings began changing as I could feel my lungs being filled with water, and I could no longer breathe.
Not even one breath that I could take.
I couldn't think, my mind was too dead for that.
And with every cold wave coming in, my heart was getting weaker by seconds.

I was standing outside a building I haven't recognized.

How did I get here?

"Please......"

I could see an old looking building, and I knew I wasn't going to be able to get in.
I haven't tried to open up the door or break the window, I just, deep down, had known.
Suddenly, the door was opened, but I didn't question it.
I took steps inside, and I could see a guy. Blue hair, blue eyes. I had known him so well that I would recognize him no matter the circumstances.

Kaito.
I walked closer, but he didn't even notice me.
Not until he took a quick step towards me, and the next thing I knew, he was running after me as I was running away from the building, deeper into the woods.

Then I could feel something gently touch my face, but there wasn't anything in front of me that could do it.

I could feel something wet on my hands, and when I looked, I was covered in crimson liquid. No thoughts were running through my mind.

Blood.

I felt someone punch me.
My eyes were closed.

I slowly opened my eyes, and the first thing I could see was a guy with blond hair standing right in front of me.

He was wearing a brown hoodie and I could see what I thought could be worry in the light of his ocean eyes.

Our eyes met, and I noticed other people sitting in the back of the room I was in. Three of them appeared to be sleeping.
They were all chained and handcuffed, but the blond guy was free.

I felt something holding my hands down to the thing I was sitting on, but I felt too weak to physically look down to see.

Where am I?
Why am I not...
