When I got home, I found a note from my mum stuck on the fridge door. It read:

'Gone to get Freddie for his dentist appointment. Be back around 5 or 6ish. Can you walk Shep for me, thanks. Love you loads, Mum xxx '

Oh, I have such a lovely mum. So kind and caring, I wonder how she got Freddie to actually go to the dentist.

Turning around, I saw Shep, my bouncy 2- year old Border Collie, looking at me, with a hint of playfulness in his eyes. Oh, we were gonna have fun.

Changing into my jeans, band shirt, Hollister jacket and bright red wellies, I grabbed Shep's lead and earphones, and stepped outside. I headed towards the Cycle track.

****

Looking up, and noticing the path ahead was clear, I smiled to myself.

Yes! No rude cyclists, no rude people and no other dogs that, insisted on sniffing Shep's behind.

Then, I saw three small silhouettes coming towards us. All, wearing the boring navy uniform, you could recognise anywhere. Then the silhouettes got bigger, and bigger. I realised who two out of three of them were. Darren and Josh, they were tossing a ball back and for, whilst the other one was on the phone.

Ahhhhh, Samuel. We meet again. Ugh! I swear it's like he stalks me!

As I got closer, I disguised taking out my other earphone, like I was playing with an ear ring, which was completely stupid, because I don't even wear them! But it's not like any of them would notice and I just had to hear whatever sick comment, Bishop had lined up for me. I had to think of a comeback.

A GOOD comeback.

When I got in earshot of them, I heard Sam talk into his phone and quickly shove it in his pocket. Josh picked up the ball, so it wouldn't hit me, because he knew I was a very powerful person.

Muhahahahahahaha!!!!!! Ooh! Evil!

"Hey, Beth!" Josh and Darren chorused. I realised that Scott wasn't with them.

Strange.

"Hey guys!" I said. "Where's Scott?" I asked.

"We don't know. He hasn't been around lately." Darren answered.

"Yeah, he hasn't been at lunch, all week." I said. Shep trotted over to Darren and Josh, to get the attention he wanted, before coming over to me and sitting at my feet.

Then, someone's phone started ringing, Sam quickly took his mobile, out of his pocket and peered at the screen.

"Argghhhh! God, just go away!" He shouted at the screen, before chucking his phone back into his pocket.

"Wow. How many times is that now?" Darren asked, with a smirk. He looked like he was trying to hold back laughter.

"I don't know, I've lost count!" Sam snapped. It didn't look like he was enjoying this, quite so much.

"Girlfriend trouble?" I asked innocently.

He looked at me. "How d'you know?" He said, with a slight smile.

"Uhhhh... the angry tone, the constant phone calls, I mean who else could it be? Eliza has a reputation to cling onto things she wants. So, she must really want you." I snickered.

Satisfied.

The other boys laughed but Sam's face dropped. "Urghhh! Really?" He moaned."Cuz'... I've kinda got my eye, on another girl." Gosh, Sam moves on fast.

"Wow, you sound like a girl shopping for a new prom dress!?" I exclaimed. Which earned a few deep chuckles from Darren and Josh.

"Well... The heart wants, what the heart wants." He said smoothly, turning away.

"Enjoy your shopping trip, girls!" I said walking away. I swear I heard him say something like 'I'm already on it.' But nooo, probably not.

As I continued to walk, Shep trotting along, beside me. He spoke again. "Oh yeah, and Beth. You don't have to pretend, you wear ear rings, just so you can hear my voice." He had a smile, from ear to ear, that I just wanted to slap off of him!

"How do you know I don't have an obsession with Darren? Or a secret relationship with Josh?Huh?" I said, giving a fake gasp and turning around again, only to see him inches away. "My best friend's boyfriend! Who would have thought!?" I said flatly.

He leaned closer, and whispered : "Trust me, I know things. I'm not the only one around here, who has a reputation, you know." He was so close to my face, I felt like I couldn't breath, he was too close, and then he just left me, standing there.

Breath-taken.

When I snapped back into reality, I quickly, but coolly walked off. I was going to kill him, if he ever talked to me again.

He was so annoying!
