A Little Mermaid Love Story

Chapter 2

[Two weeks had passed and in those two weeks, neither Eric nor Ariel could forget about each other. Eric was still searching for the girl who saved his life and underwater, Ariel would always be smiling, giggling, humming, and singing to herself]
{With Ariel's sisters}

<a little past lunchtime>
{With Ariel}

[The fish and Sebastian were disappointed to see Ariel gone. One of King Triton's shrimp servants had found Sebastian, and told him that the king was looking for him because he wanted to talk about Ariel]
{With King Triton}
[He finds out that she saved a human from drowning because Sebastian had accidentally revealed it to him. He then makes Sebastian take him to Ariel's grotto]
{With Ariel}

<later on>
[Flotsom and Jetsam swim up to her and try to offer to take her to Ursula, but Ariel profoundly refuses. However, when one of the eels kicked the face of the statue of Prince Eric toward her, Ariel changed her mind and decided to follow them. Sebastian and Flounder warned her not to, but Ariel shook Sebastian away from her fins when he tried to stop her]
Ariel: Why don't you go snitch to my father? You're an expert at that
(She left with the electric eels)
Sebastian: Let's go
(He and Flounder follow quietly)
{With Ariel and the electric eels}

{On the shore with Ariel and the others}
[Sebastian agreed to help Ariel find Prince Eric, which made her really happy. Scuttle helped her get dressed with a leftover sail from a part of Eric's sunken ship that was left on the beach]
{With Eric}

{With Eric and Ariel}
Eric: Were you involved in a shipwreck?
(Ariel looked at him confused and then nodded)
Eric: Oh, I see, so was I, two weeks ago, thankfully all of my crew was saved
(Ariel smiled)
Eric: Do you have any family?
(Ariel nodded)
Eric: Well that's good, do you have any siblings?
(Ariel nodded)
Eric: That's nice, how many?
(Ariel tried to talk but then looked down sadly)
Eric: Right, no voice, I forgot, I'm sorry
(Ariel shrugged)
Eric: Let's see, do you have more than one?
(Ariel nodded)
Eric: How about three?
(Ariel shook her head)
Eric: Do you have more or less than three?
(Ariel nodded her head)
Eric: More than three?
(Ariel nodded her head)
Eric: Ok, how about five?
(Ariel shook her head)
Eric: More than five? What about six?
(Ariel nodded her head)
Eric: Oh wow, six siblings, huh? Boys?
(Ariel shook her head)
Eric: Girls then
(Ariel nodded her head)
Eric: Are they older than you or younger?
(Ariel showed him her index finger)
Eric: One? The first option, they're older than you
(Ariel nodded her head)
Eric: So you're the youngest?
(Ariel nodded)
Eric: Well then, your father must be really protective of you
(Ariel grinned and rolled her eyes making Eric laugh)
Eric: That's what a father does, protect his children, are you older than sixteen?
(Ariel shook her head)
Eric: Ok, so how old are you? Sixteen?
(Ariel nodded her head)
Eric: Alright, I got it on the first guess
(He laughs and Ariel giggles without making a sound)
Eric: Do you live with both of your parents?
(Ariel showed him her index finger again)
Eric: Only one?
(Ariel nodded sadly)
Eric: I'm sorry, did your mother, did she, die?
(Ariel nodded sadly and a tear rolled down her eye)
Eric: Hey, Hey, it's ok, don't cry
(He wiped the tear off her face)
Eric: You must miss her a lot, huh?
(Ariel nodded sadly)
Eric: I miss mine too
(Ariel moved her head to the side and looked at the sky then at Eric)
Eric: Yeah, my mother died too, both her and my father
[Ariel hugged him, which surprised Eric, but he hugged her back, and after a moment, they pulled away, and then Ariel kissed his cheek]
Eric: Thanks for that
(Ariel blushed and nodded then she staggered)
Eric: Woah, hey you ok?
(Ariel nodded and smiled)
Eric: Here, it'll be easier if I carry you
(Before Ariel could signal anything, Eric picked her up in his strong arms, and Ariel put her arms around his neck. Ariel bowed her head at him)
Eric: You're welcome, we're almost there, don't worry
{Outside the gates}
[The guards see Eric, they open the doors, then Ariel and Eric go inside, and the doors close behind them]
{Inside the palace}
(Grimbsy and a woman named Carlotta see him)
Carlotta: Oh my
Grimbsy: Eric
Carlotta: What happened?
(Eric carefully puts down Ariel)
Eric: Max found her on the beach, she washed up from a shipwreck, and she can't speak
Grimbsy: How terrible
Eric: This is Grimbsy and Carlotta, Carlotta will take care of you, ok?
Carlotta: Yes I will
(Ariel nodded and Carlotta took her then they left)
Grimbsy: It's a good thing Max found her, Eric, something could have happened to her
Eric: Yeah
(He petted Max who was right beside him)
Eric: Good boy
(Eric stood up and looked at Grimbsy)
Eric: Grimbsy, take him will you? I'm gonna do some work in my bedroom
Grimbsy: Yes, of course, Eric
(Eric left and Grimbsy took Max)
{With Ariel and Carlotta}
[Carlotta prepared a hot bubble bath for Ariel in the main guest room. Unfortunately, Sebastian was hiding in Ariel's raggy dress and went along with it. Carlotta helped Ariel in a beautiful pink gown that Ariel herself chose and Carlotta helped her with her hair. Ariel washed her hands and then Carlotta led her into the dining room]
{In the dining room}
Grimbsy: She's a beautiful young lady, the most beautiful we've seen so far, and she seems like a good person. Be reasonable, Eric, young ladies don't just appear out of nowhere rescuing random people drowning in the ocean and then disappear to who knows where
Eric: Grimbsy, I'm telling you, she was real, I felt her hand, I heard her beautiful voice-
Grimbsy: Eric, you were pretty out of it-
Eric: I'm not crazy, I'm going to find her
(He leans by the window)
Eric: And I'm going to marry her
Grimbsy: Oh for the love of-
(They hear Carlotta and heels clicking)
Carlotta: Don't be shy, dearie, let's go
(Both Carlotta and Ariel come into view, Grimbsy stands up joining Eric, and Eric just stares)
