Chapter 9

[Grimbsy got started on the wedding invitations, and he was done with them by the end of the day. He sent all the invitations out, and then he continued his lessons with Ariel. Ariel was not only learning Italian, but she was also learning how to waltz, how to ride terrestrial horses, how to swim like a human, and how to cook and bake human foods]
{In Atlantica in the palace}
Attina: Father, can we please go up to the surface to see Ariel?
Alana: Yeah, we really miss her
Adella: It'll be quick, we promise
Aquata: And we'll be really careful
Arista: And we'll take flounder and Sebastian with us
King Triton: Well, alright
Andrina: Really? Oh, thank you, father
King Triton: But I will go as well, I too want to see my little Ariel
Sebastian: Don't worry, your majesty, I will take care of business here
King Triton: Yes, thank you, Sebastian, I'd appreciate that
Flounder: I'll stay to help as well
King Triton: Very well, Flounder, thank you
(The royal family exits the palace and starts swimming upward to the surface)
{Back on land}
(Ariel was carrying treasure in her arms)
Ariel: Heeyy, Max, Heeyy Matey, you two wanna go for a walk, boys?
(Max and Matey barked excitedly)
Ariel: Let's go, boys, c'mon
(Max and Matey walked beside Ariel as she walked out of the palace)
{At the beach}
(Ariel's sisters and father surfaced)
Attina: Wow, it's been years since we've been on the surface
Alana: I know, it feels nice out here, I like it
Adella: Yeah, I love the sun and the nice breeze, let's get closer
(They all keep swimming closer and closer until they're in front of the royal palace)
Aquata: Oh my goodness, that must be the human palace, it's big and beautiful too
Arista: You can say that again, I wonder if Ariel ever comes out here
Andrina: Maybe, I hope she comes out so we can see her
(Suddenly Max and Matey started running toward them)
Attina: Ah!
King Triton: Be careful, girls
Alana: What are those things?
(Ariel then was slightly running up while still holding treasure)
Ariel: Max, Matey, hold up, I can't run in heels yet
The sisters: Ariel!
(Ariel gasped)
Ariel: Max, Matey, stop, sit, now, boys
(Max and Matey turned around, listened to Ariel, and then they sat on the sand)
Ariel: Good boys
(She petted the top of their heads then put her shoes on one of the rocks)
Ariel: Daddy, girls, hi
King Triton: My little Ariel
Adella: Ariel, we've missed you
Ariel: I've missed you all too
(She put treasure down on the sand beside the two dogs, she went into the sea, and Ariel hugged each one. Ariel got out and the animals started playing with each other)
Aquata: Wow, it's just, we've never pictured you with human legs, no offense, you look great though
(Ariel laughed)
Ariel: It's alright, I'm still getting used to them myself
Arista: What are those little furballs?
Andrina: What're their names?
Attina: They're cute but are they dangerous?
(Ariel giggles)
Ariel: Those two are dogs, that one over there is Max, this one is Matey, and the other one is a kitten. Her name is treasure and they're all harmless. Max is Eric's pet and Matey and Treasure are mine, he bought them for me
Alana: Is that your prince's name?
Ariel: Yesss, his name is Eric
Adella: Is he handsome?
Ariel: Very, and he's very kind, sweet, brave, and intelligent too
Aquata: I wish we could meet him
Ariel: Well, now that you mention it, I hope you do, because, well, Eric and I, we're, getting married
The girls and King Triton: What?!
Ariel: Yeah, we are
Arista: Oh how romantic
Andrina: I just love weddings
Attina: Who doesn't?
King Triton: Ariel, isn't it too soon?
Ariel: Daddy, we're getting married at the end of the month
King Triton: But you've only been together for three months
Ariel: We know, but we love each other, and we know that we want to be together forever, so why wait any longer? I want all of you to be there for our special day
Alana: We wouldn't miss it for the world
Adella: Definitely
King Triton: Well, if you're happy then we're happy for you, sweetie
Ariel: Thank you, daddy
Aquata: Do you already have your dress?
Ariel: My best friend, Belle, is making it for me, she's a human that lives in France. That's going to be my something new, my something blue will be my garters, but I still need something old and something borrowed
Aquata: Then we came prepared, here Ariel, you can borrow my seashell hair clip
(She came up to the rocks and placed the hairclip on Ariel's hair)

Ariel: Oh thank you, Aquata
Aquata: You're welcome, baby sis
King Triton: Here, my little Ariel
(He took a clam and opened it revealing a beautiful set of earrings)
King Triton: These were your mother's, she wore them to our wedding, she would have wanted you to wear them for your wedding
Ariel: Thank you, daddy
(She took the earrings and hugged her father, Aquata, she then got back into the ocean, and Ariel went into it. She hugged everyone else and then got out)
Ariel: I have to go back to the palace, I took a little break from my lessons with Grimbsy
Arista: Who's Grimbsy?
Ariel: He's Eric's guardian and his advisor, he's been teaching me all about being a human alongside Carlotta, the head maid, and her husband, Chef Loui
Andrina: We love you, Ariel, take care of yourself
Ariel: You all as well, I love you all, and say hi to everyone for me
King Triton: We will, sweetheart
Ariel: C'mon guys, let's go
(Max and Matey bark and Treasure meows at Ariel. Ariel puts her shoes back on, and then picks up treasure in her arms)
Ariel: Bye, everyone
The girls: Bye, Ariel
King Triton: Goodbye, my little Ariel
(Ariel walks back to the palace and once she arrives, she takes a bath, changes clothes, and gets back to her lessons with Grimbsy)
{Meanwhile in Greece}
Phil: Yo, kid!
(Hercules and Meg were laughing)
Hercules: What is it, Phil?
Phil: This reached my hands
(He gave the invitation to Hercules and Megara)
Megara: Hmm, looks fancy
(Hercules opened it up)
Hercules: "Hear ye, Hear ye, you are cordially invited to the royal wedding of Princess Ariel from the kingdom of Atlantica and Prince Eric from the kingdom of Seahaven, Italy on the thirty-first day of July. We request the honor of your's and Lady Megara's presence at their wedding. The celebration will be held on the royal wedding ship at three in the afternoon. We hope to see you at the festivity. Our deepest regards, Prince Eric of Seahaven and Princess Ariel of Atlantica"
Phil: If I'm not mistaken, I believe Princess Ariel is your cousin, kid
Hercules: My cousin?
Phil: Yeah, I've been looking at your family tree and look at what I have found
(He brought out a map and he laid it flat on the table, so they could all see)
Phil: You see, Cronos and Rhea, who were two of the titans, had three sons, your father, Zeus, who rules over the heavens, Hades, ruler of the underworld, and Poseidon, who ruled over the sea. As you know, your father overthrew Cronos, Rhea, and the other two titans. Well, Poseidon had a number of children and one of them was Triton. King Triton is the ruler of the seas and merpeople, he married a mermaid named Athena, and they had seven daughters, Attina, Alana, Adella, Aquata, Arista, Andrina, and Ariel. Poseidon is their grandfather and their great-grandfather and great-grandmother are Cronos and Rhea. All of those princesses are your cousins and vice versa
Megara: Well, that's quite a big family you've got there, wonderboy
Hercules: Yeah, I had no idea, but now, I'd like to meet them
Megara: You know what? Me too, let's attend
Hercules: Thank you, Meg
Megara: You don't have to thank me, Herc, I want to go, maybe we can ask your earth parents to watch the house
Hercules: I'm sure they won't have a problem with that, I'll write to them today
Megara: We'll need both of you to help them out as well
Phil: No worries, no problem, we got it
(Pegasus neighed)
Hercules: Thank you, you two
(He begins to write a letter to his earth parents. Once he's done, Pegasus takes the letter, and delivers it as he's told)
