"What? What do you mean by that?"

Ibelin frowned.

She didn't really think she was doing something wrong

Rather, she was doing better.

But Riesel didn't seem to think so.

"You're parenting method is wrong."

Sure enough.

"What?"

She didn't understand it.

"Lekach's shouldn't get attached."

They shouldn't know how to be affectionate.

That seemed to be what Riesel is implying.

"...Ether is still a child."

"And you've abused the child thus far."

"...Did you... Did you know about this?"

"Of course. You thought I wouldn't know?"

"You knew, and yet you just chose to be a bystander?"

"Because I hate imprudent affection."

"What the hell."

Ibelin couldn't speak after so she just pursed her lips.

"If I told you this, you'd understand that-"

"NO!"

Ibelin roared before Riesel's words were finished causing him to look at Ibelin.

"...It's not a matter that would warrant you to scream like that."

Ibelin cut in and shouted as if she didn't need to hear it.

"I disagree with you!"

"It's not an opinion, it's a notification."

"I refuse that notification!"

"I utterly can't communicate with you."

Ibelin was seething while Riesel murmured with an awful look on his face.

Then, Ibelin leapt out of her seat and shouted, pointing her finger exactly at Riesel.

"So just do your part of being a good father to Ether!"

Riesel burst into a laugh as if he heard something absurd.

"Are you crazy?"

"Do you think I'm crazy?"

Ibelin called him confidently, "Riesel."

"Please call me grand duke."

Riesel drew a sharp line.

"I've lost my memory so I don't understand anything. Is that what it looks like to you?"

He didn't reply.

"But I'll still do my best."

"What are you talking about?"

"To raise Ether with love, and to include you in the process."

Riesel thought that their conversation was going nowhere so he eventually got up from his seat.

"Are you running away?"

Ibelin spoke at his retreating figure.

Riesel left the office without an answer.

And after Riesel left, Ibelin, who sat still on the table, burst into tears and cried at Lotte.

"It'll be fine... he's not really leaving is he?"

Ibelin didn't know enough yet about the grand duke's character.
