No one made a sound at first, everyone seemed to be processing this information at the same time.

Werewolves, in Hogwarts?

With professor Mcgonigalls stern warning, no one shouted out but hushed whispers began to sliver out of students mouths across the halls.

Some were accepting.

"Well if our teacher says they are safe it must be true? Not all werewolves are bad, same with wizards"

Some were unsure

"Is this really a good idea? After the attacks?"

"Stupid! That's why they are doing this!"

"Still..."

Some were already complaining.

"Werewolves, seriously?! They expect us to get along their kind? No way!"

Stiles was more in the unsure category. Rationally he knew that what had happened in the stadium wasn't their fault but he kept on thinking back to it when he stared at them.

He hoped that they were the normal werewolves that he'd heard about as a kid yet he knew that because the stadium had been attacked by those specific type of werewolves, Hogwarts was likely trying to help fix that mistrust between them.

So more likely these were shape shifters.

What better way to help adult witches and wizards to be tolerant toward supernatural beings that to have their kids interact with them at school and become friends.

Learn that they were people.

Not the monsters that the media was portraying them as, ever since the attack.

But then again there were risks of course. What happened if kids like them came back home and told their parents the opposite?

Things would spark out of control very quickly.

"It's a risky move" Lydia said and Stiles knew that she also had understood what was really happening here.

However it felt like they were the only ones.

Derek looked unsure what to think but he looked a bit ill.

Issac had paled dramatically, thinking back to three stadium.

"I don't understand..." He muttered.

He had hoped that Hogwarts would provide a good distraction from his home life and the stadium incident but he could practically smell the past blood in the air and hear the screams around him as he stared up at the new students.

He picked up Pixie quickly and mumbled "I'm going to the toilets"

Before anyone could react, he rushed off.

Allison watched him leaving in worry as she said quickly "I hope he is oka-"

"Of course his not!" A angry voice interrupted her.

"Scott" Kira said, shocked at his anger but the shock turned to understanding as she saw him glare up at the new students.

Who were now almost finished sorted by the Sorting Hat.

"Why? Why invite them here! We never had their kind before!"

Lydia said gently, trying to keep him calm but also disagreeing with him "We likely have, this is just the first time it's been publicly announced"

Scott snorted, his hands clenching into fists "Oh? So the teachers have always been fine with risking our lives, huh?"

Stiles wanted to point out that even though he didn't believe these werewolves were a risk, like at all, risking students lives wasn't exactly uncommon in Hogwarts, not with what he'd learned about it anyway.

Like who thought it was fine to leave a freaking giant snake, a three headed dog and dementors at a school?

Yet he thought that wouldn't make Scott feel any better.

"They aren't the same people who attacked us" Stiles pointed out, keeping his voice soft due to Scott's behaviour.

"So what? What happened just shows us the violence their type-" Scott started to retort but Lydia eyes narrowed on him and she interrupted him sternly, looking more fed up than Stiles.

"Wizards and Witches were capable of nasty things too, remember? Or have you forgotten all the nasty rumours about the war many witches and wizards parents went through?"

"That's-that's different" Scott tried to say but Stiles could see Lydia had him cornered there.

From the shy girl who didn't talk much, too someone telling Scott off right now, Stiles smiled a little at the change in her but before Lydia reply to Scott's comment, she was interrupted.

"Hey! Didn't you hear! Second years to your dorms! You lot aren't even meant to be sitting together" A irate looking professor glared at them, standing behind Derek, who jumped a little.

Scott opened his mouth to argue "I'm not a second-"

"I don't care! Go!" The professor snapped as more students stood up to leave and head to their dorms.

"What's with him?" Allison asked as they all stood up and Derek sighed as he said "His been trying to get our attention since we sat down together, because we're not sitting on our right tables"

Everyone looked at him questioningly as he shrugged "I was just ignoring him" He added his voice "What was happening up there was more important"

Everyone grimaced as little at that, yeah he could say that again.
