Stiles and Scorpios said goodbye to the others as they were escorted to the Slytherin dorm, everyone was talking about what had just happened so no one seemed to notice them both.Which was good since Stiles hadn't been looking forward to being glared at by other Slytherins, due to his parents, same with Scorpious.
Not that they also weren't talking about the new students.
"I do think that it's that Hogwarts accepted them. It's not nice being blamed for something you didn't do" Scorpouis said empathetically however Stiles raised his eye brows at his time.
"I sense there's a but?"
The Malfoy boy smiled back as he said "But, I'm not sure it's a good idea for hogwarts to get involved with what's going on the outside world".
Stiles nodded, he agreed with that.
Scorpios added as they got to their dorms "My Dad always says you should keep your nose out of other peoples business, unless they ask you too that is"
Stiles looked at him, raising his eyebrows in a little surprise.
"He told me he often got into trouble for doing that, there was a time when...um something about a dragon and Hagrid, when he was our age?" Scorpious said, trying to remember it.
"A dragon?" Stiles asked, now he was very surprised! Dragons were so rare!
His father had something to do with a dragon?
Wait a second...
"It wasn't a dragon from those tournaments that took place all those years ago? That Albus's Dad took part in?"
Scorpious shook his head as he replied "No, that was their fifth year, hagrid and the dragon was his second year"
"So much happened when they were at school" Stiles said, with a chuckle, unsure if he should be jealous or if he should hope that his school years didn't follow the same way.
They then realised that they were almost alone in the common room, all the other Slytherins had gone further in to fight over or pick their beds.
Apart from one other person, who was sitting, hunched over by the fire.
Stiles quickly recognised him as a student who had been standing next to the headmistress.
A werewolf.
He had noticed before hand a lot of slytherins, giving this student disgusted, angry or nervous looks before they moved away from the common room.
Stiles glanced at Scorpious, who knew what Stiles was asking and he nodded.
They both knew what it was like to be an outsider.
"Hey, are you okay?" Stiles asked, walking up to him, Scorpios at his side.
The boy, now Stiles could see was a bit older, jumped a little, startled.
He had messy curly brown hair and quite a thin frame and he turned to them as he stammered out "Um I-I'm fine, I just thought that, e-everyone needed their space before I went in, b-because.." He trailed off, hunched in on himself, trying to make himself look smaller.
"Because you're a werewolf" Scorpious finished for him.
The guy seemed to flinch at that but he nodded, looking ashamed.
Stiles couldn't understand why, he said rather boldly, feeling annoyed at this guy's attitude "A lot of slytherins are idiots. We don't blame you for the attacks that started everything. You personally didn't do it"
He seemed to looked shocked at that and opened his mouth, as if to argue but Stiles cut him off by saying "I was there, at the stadium. I saw the attacks up close. You weren't who attacked us, so no point in blaming yourself. Wizards and Witches don't blame themselves for others dark actions, so you shouldn't either"
That seemed to shut him up for a bit but a couple of emotions seemed to flash in his eyes that Stiles couldn't decipher before he said hopefully "Really? Are you serious?"
"Seriously" Scorpious said with a slight smile, giving Stiles an impressed look with his mini speech.
"What's your name?" Stiles asked him, not wanting to continue to call him just 'guy' in his head.
"Terry! What's both of yours?" Terry said, a happy expression, replacing the nervous one.
Scorpious and Stiles both smiled at him as they told him both their names.
So far they seemed to be having a good start to the school year!
