Chapter Six

THAT SAME NIGHT, Caleb is driving in his car on the road on the phone with Reid.

"Don't see Chase just yet." Reid informs Caleb on the phone.

"Well, if he does show up, please, don't do anything crazy. Where's Shelby?" Caleb asked.

"She was just here, right beside me." Reid said on the phone.

"Reid? Tyler?" Caleb said, becoming concerned.

Suddenly, Chase Collins leaps down onto the car hood, shattering the window. "Did you really think that you can outsmart me, you can't, you know?"

Caleb and Chase exchange looks at each other and Chase flips backwards and lands onto the road.

Caleb gets out of his car and follows Chase Collins into an old barn.

"You know, I just have a weird vibe that you won't be doing as I said to you, so, I took a little someone to motivate you." Chase said, and reveals an unconscious Shelby slowly levitating. "She is quite stunning. And if you touch her, she dies."

"Let her go, Chase. She has nothing to do with this." Caleb said.

"But you and her have been becoming romantically closer with each other haven't you?" Chase Collins pointed out. "You know, I'll let Shelby go, if you Will me your power?"

"How about you let Shelby go, and we'll go about our life's." Caleb said.

"Or how about I make you..." Chase Collins said, slowly levitating atop of the barn railing. "... my wiatch."

"I'll never Will you my Power." Caleb tells him.

"Fine, let's do it your way." Chase said.

And Caleb and Chase engages into a battle fight.

                               meanwhile...

At an old warehouse, Ruby Monroe and Heather Halltore have engaged in a battle fight as well.

"Just give into your dark magic, Heather. It's really amazingly fun." Ruby Monroe said.

"I will never give into my dark magic." Heather Halltore said.

"Perhaps, I should destroy you now, and go after Shelby and Lillian. They will lose another parental guardian." Ruby said.

"You leave them alone, Ruby." Heather Halltore said.

"Perhaps, I'll reunite you with Shelby's and Lillian's parents." Ruby Monroe said.

Having had enough of Ruby Monroe's taunting and goading, Heather Halltore lunges at Ruby, smashing them both into some crates.

And Ruby Monroe and Heather Halltore proceeds to battle fight with each other.

meanwhile with Caleb and Chase...

After their first battle fight between Caleb and Chase, it was twelve minutes pass eleven, and Caleb has ascended. It has began his 18th birthday.

And Chase Collins himself, couldn't be more thrilled.

"Are we ascending?" Chase Collins said with a thrilling smile. "Finally!" And he chuckles, and becomes serious again. "But actually, I don't think you're cut out for it, Caleb. Just say the words and it can be all over."

After Caleb Danvers ascended, gaining him more powers, he falls onto on the floor.

Caleb and Chase again fights with each other, causing the two teenagers to go outside in the pouring rain.

"Say it?! Say the words, Caleb?!" Chase Collins said.

"I. Will. You. Nothing." Caleb tells Chase and hits him with another orb.

Suddenly, it starts to thunder.

"I. Will. You. My. Power." William Danvers said with his last breath, giving his son, Caleb, his powers.

Now, with his father's powers, plus, with his powers, Caleb defeats Chase Collins by opening a portal with Chase inside of it.

meanwhile with Ruby Monroe and Heather Halltore...

The two women proceeds to fight with each other. Heather Halltore gets the upper hand and defeats Ruby Monroe by stabbing her with a mystical knife to her stomach.

Ruby Monroe's eyes turns red. "Where I had failed, he will succeed."

"Who? Who is "he"? Heather Halltore asked.

Ruby Monroe sly smile, and stabs herself in the stomach, destroying herself, and collapses onto the floor, and evaporates into gray smoke.

Heather Halltore walks away, going to Caleb.

After defeating Chase Collins, Caleb slowly walks over to Shelby, and carries her out, bridal style, out of the barn.

Slowly walking out into the pouring rain, Caleb gently lays down Shelby on a small hay truck.

Caleb gently caress Shelby's cheek with his hand as she regains her conscious. He smiles a little, relieved, that's she's okay.

✨✨✨

After-awhile, Caleb, Shelby and Heather Halltore has regrouped with each other.

"We should head back to Spenser Academy." Heather Halltore said and looks at Shelby. "I'm glad you're okay, Shelby."

"You too, grandma." Shelby said, and looks at Caleb. "Where's Chase?"

"Don't know, but he won't be coming back." Caleb said.

Heather Halltore, Caleb, and Shelby proceeds to walks away.

SPENSER ACADEMY

Later on that night, everyone enjoys themselves at the party. Shelby and Lillian dances together.

"I'm glad you and grandma are okay, Shelby." Lilian said.

"Yeah. Me too. But at least, Chase Collins and Ruby Monroe are gone, and we don't have to worry anymore." Shelby said.

"Absolutely." Reid said, gently putting his arms around Shelby's and Lillian's shoulders.

Shelby, Reid and Lilian exchange small smiles at each other and enjoys the rest of the dance.

HALLTORE-SOMMERS HOME

In the living room, Caleb, Pogue, Reid and Tyler are in a sigil, preparing for the ritual.

"Are you guys ready?" Heather Halltore asked Caleb, Pogue, Reid and Tyler.

"Yes, ma'am." Tyler said.

"Okay, I'm gonna repeat Caleb's ascendancy onto the four of you." Heather Halltore said.

A digital watch beeps. And Lillian glances at it. "It's twelve minutes pass eleven, grandma."

And Heather Halltore creates an orb in the palm of her hand. The orb risked creates lightning from it, hitting Caleb, Pogue, Reid and Tyler, making them levitate in the air as they shout in slight agony pain and falls back onto the living room floor, unconscious.
