As we marched out of the hospital, drops of water trickled out of my eyes. I still couldn't absorb how unreal reality was. They suspect that it was a tumour but aren't sure. The results are going to come out soon but I am stressing over the fact "what if".

"Roo, what are you thinking beta? About your future hubby? Don't worry I have a fixed date for you." She chirped merrily.

"Ma that Roo sounds more like Winnie the Pooh. We can take care of this later also. Now my priority is you. Only you. Plus, you scared the shit out of me yesterday well even today. They suspect it is a tumour, they don't guarantee it is."

"Mind your tongue Roo. I know it is not sure but you can see that the chances of me having the tumour are quite high. What if I have? And don't you come back from that date ayse hi. I want my future son-in-law and future grandchildren before I go swish swoosh."

"Ma chances are like 10 per cent. And what is this swish swoosh? Let's wait till the results show up before we come across any judgement."

She nodded silently.

The sun was high. Yeah, I know it is high up in the sky but you know, I was talking about the other 'high'. It could have grilled up a loaf of bread and butter into toast in a snap of fingers. Poof the menu did consist of a list of dishes for breakfast. One could care never the less to purchase one out of an absolutely free mess.

Suddenly, before I could make much sense of what was happening with my own dreamy thoughts I was pushed by a great voltage of force. When I say it, I mean it and went rummaging to the ground.

"Watch where you are going, miss. I know I'm a beauty, but please don't go tripping to that extent that you actually fell for me" He said that which had slices of negativity inserted in 'em.

'What the fuck' I thought. I mean why are people nowadays so delusional about their beauty? Acting as if he were some hotshot celebrity with a fine ass.

"Too bad, even my sandals have high standards, spare me." I fired back.

I looked up and our eyes crossed their path. We were staring at each other. To be honest other girls might have found a gem in him, but for me, he was quite average. On second thought, he was a little fan worthy. Only a little.

He smirked. Why do guys like smirking so much uff-

"Will see for how long"

"Bastard" I called out. He deserved to be called one. He started it first. Immature.

"Will see for how long" I mimicked in front of Ma. "And that's why it took so long." I finally finished.

We just crashed into each other. He made a big deal out of it.

"You shouldn't start arguing with such a stranger's beta," she told out of concern.

"He deserved it though."

"Now leave that. Get ready, I'll send you the information about the guy. The meeting is tomorrow at six remember."

"Ma" I called out. I had much bigger problems than this date.

"Okay," I respond.

"I hope you settle in for this one."

I don't hope so I wished. But this so-called fate had different plans.

'A Last-minute sorcery I must say
