An Arranged Date

Chapter - 14

It had been exactly half an hour and I was repenting my decision after all. Almost the whole club was booked by us, at least to those trenches where my vision took me. A deep pit, where I thought I could dissolve my tension within, but never mind as I saw another tension coming along my way. I grunted at my kismet, tried my best to ignore him, and deafen his calls. 

"Roohi look Pranay." She murmured to me, pointing towards him. "He did grow muscles with add-on the combo. How long do you think he lasted in bed?" she continued. 

"He still doesn't charm me enough." I fired back. 

As he made his way through, I could see a smirk on his face. Not again, I desperately wished that I with a click of my tippy toes could disappear. 

"Roohi and err Dimple, so long guys." He was drunk.

"Yeah err Pra-Pranay is it?" Classic Dimps as I giggled silently. That's my bitch.

"Yes, still forgetful as ever aren't you?" He remarked.

"You see assholes ain't on my list." She mocked.

She is a perfect example of a boss bitch. Ugh even though she is a silent pervert, she knows how to address it with a poker face.

"Meet you at the dance floor." He whispered winking at me.

That is if I step on the dance floor mind you. Rolling my eyes, I moved forward toward the counter to take in some shots.

I generally don't drink but maybe today was an exception. All alone with my drunk ass and bubbling memories, ugh where was Dimps. She told me she had some business to attend to with that jerk.

He was my ex-boyfriend and the fact that I fell for him, was even more disheartening. The way he ripped my heart out that moment when I found out that he was cheating on me. Such an asshole.

'Dance' that's what struck my brain. Dance my heart out. Relax and let go of this pressure for one night and dance. I was horrible at dancing, but today both my heart and brain were syncing for the first time. Maybe this was something stupid, but fun anyways.

Entering the dance floor, I could feel my hips sway to the music. The dim lights, people, I was enjoying this. 

"Whom do we have here huh?" God please I came here to relax and not this manwhore again.

With a blink of my eye, he pulled me closer and snaked his arm around my waist. And yes without a blink of his eye I pushed him back with an unyielding force and cracked his nuts. I hate it when things like this take place without my consent. 

Take that you bitch.

He hugged the floor tearing out in pain, and well everyone was looking at me. The whole club was silent except for the music and dim lights though. Anabelle's eyes. I hated that judgmental look I was receiving. 

Where was Dimps?! 

But as a shining knight in armor, not that I needed one, began approaching me through the midst of people with applause. Hazel eyes- messy hair- hot, Ugh what was I thinking? I needed this, I mean the way he applauded for me. 

At least now the attention was not on me but on him and whispers. He seemed similar. Felt similar and yes he was that chapel bastard and my to-be fiance. When he grasped my hand and told me that I did fine. I was brave, and I did nothing wrong. These words somehow soothed me, even if I believed in myself. My vision was still hazy, but all I did after that was say thank you. I felt safe with him.

He looked down on Pranay and asked him to get a better life or else a nutcracker would do the job. He hissed back at him but when I glared at him he whimpered and started weeping in pain again. 

He hadn't left my hand. It brought warmth, heat friction, yes but that warmth was something else. Even though he was my fiance and I had no idea what he was doing here. Partying yeah but I hadn't seen him once in this pack of people. 

"Let's go, Pooh." He muffled in my ear. Wait Pooh I gasped.

"Rudi" dumbfounded as I spoke. 

"Shit but yes." My eyes were watery now and then it all went into a night light's spark.
