'Should I....or should I not?" My brain was in turmoil about whether to break the silence or not. We sat on the elevated marble slab surrounding the fountain. It was peaceful here, with nobody to disturb.

None of us was speaking anything, just sitting in silence for the past three minutes.

"Achha" I finally broke the silence.

"I'm sorry" He finally spoke out of nowhere.

"What?" Yes maybe I knew why he was apologizing but that was too sudden.

"I said I'm sorry." He looked into my eyes, looking sad.

"Are you sorry because you made a fool out of me?" I asked him looking straight in his eye. The tension in the air could be sensed.

"Wait what? I made a fool of you. If I ever did that I am truly sorry." He told resting my hands on his lap and patting it looking deeply hurt.

This man has no idea he made such a fool out of me, but then what is he apologizing for?

"Then what are you apologizing for?"

"I am sorry for disappearing and being afraid and never confronting you." He told at once, as he stumbled upon his words.

"I am still angry." I told him firmly.

"I am sorry." He looked so cute. I had to remain firm.

"Then why did you do that?" I cupped his cheeks.

"I-"

"Didi, aapne in bhaiya ko kyu rulaya?" A cute voice interrupted us.

[ Sister why are you making this brother cry?]

Our gazes shifted beside us, where there stood a little girl staring at us intently.

"Inhone bohot bura kaam kiya, toh punishment toh milni chahiye na?" I responded imitating her cute tone.

[ He did a bad deed hence he should get his punishment right? ]

"Bhaiya don't be afraid I will protect you! It's okay didi punish me." She told and shifted in front of him, in a way protecting him.

"Why do you want to save him?" I asked curiously.

"Because he picked me up when I fell down and was crying. Please don't give him punishment! He is a nice person, he helped me, so I should help him."

I looked at him, and he looked at me blushing, looking back down.

"Accha aisi baat hein? Phir mein aapke bhaiya ko maaf karti hu."

[ Oh that is the matter? If that is then I forgive your brother.]

"Yay!" She seemed like a golden ray of light, so cute.

She waved a thumbs up at us and rushed back.

"That was heart-touching. Someone to protect me from your merciless gaze." He fake cried.

"Huh? What did you say?" I scrunched my nose and looked at him.

He tapped my nose and said "Your nose looks cute."

And within seconds I had melted yet again.

He was the merciless one over here. Seducing me with his flirty ways.

"But Rudi when can we have this conversation again?" I asked concerned. As deeply as I wanted to know, I knew something was stopping him.

"Give me some time." He looked down.

"Take how much time you want, but remember I won't judge you, you can come to me, and I will be waiting for you."

"Is that an indirect confession?" He nonchalantly stared at my eyes

"Uh..uh no..don't think so highly of yourself." I totally forgot about the Rishta. I liked him in middle school, was my old crush back?! Of course no it was so long ago!

We were about to be engaged! Might be! OMG, My cheeks grew red.

"Hmm Okay." Gave me a smirk and started giggling.

"What is wrong with you uff." I hid my face.

"You told me you won't judge me."

He was using that in the wrong context.

"That is not judging you!"

"That kind of is."

"You are using it in the wrong context."

"I wasn't aware there was a right context and a wrong context."

"You are simply impossible."

I looked towards the other side, hoping he won't catch me blushing. And then I felt someone tapping on my shoulder.

"What is it, Rudi?!"

"Rudi wtf" Shit that sounded feminine, more like Dimps.

"Woah Rudi is that you?"

Now a whole explanation and questionnaire awaited us.
