"Did you hear the news? Apparently that human forged a pact with Mammon." a demon whispered to their friend, glaring at Emi.

"Seriously? I don't get it. Why forge a pact with an ordinary human?" the other demon responded in disbelief.

Emi laughed as she heard the two students gossip.
"Ah, if only they knew the full story." she said.

"I mean... I still can't believe you made a pact with Mammon, Emi." murmured Lamia, her eyes wide.

"It wasn't an easy feat." Emi replied, recalling the events of the previous night.

Emi was currently standing in a hallway in RAD with Diavolo, Lucifer, Lamia, and another demon whom she did not know the name of.
The unfamiliar demon had short, dark green hair with a turquoise ombre; he had eyebrow-grazing bangs, with a longer fringe on his left side.

"Huh. Whenever you make an important announcement, the demons here couldn't care less. But rumors... they really do spread like wildfire." the unfamiliar demon said, shaking his head in disapproval.
"Just when I thought the uproar about the new exchange student from the human world had started to subside some, now they're all freaking out about this." he frowned.

"Come now, don't say that, Barbatos." replied Diavolo, chuckling. "Actually, I'd say that all this gossip is a good thing. It means that everyone will be watching this human, which makes it hard for any demon to go after Emi's soul when no one is looking."

"Yes. Since Mammon's not doing a very good job as a guardian." Lucifer scowled, a hint of irritation in his voice.
"I told him he was to look after Emi, but he's off somewhere shirking his responsibilities. Though I figured this would happen."

"Oh, that's probably my fault." said Emi, laughing. "I may or may not have enforced the pact on him accidentally... he got angry and told me that I had to walk to RAD by myself."

"I must say, I can't believe you managed to forge a pact with Mammon, Emi. That's no small feat." Diavolo exclaimed, looking impressed. "And what's more, you did it in such a short time."

"I suppose it stands as proof that you chose well bringing this human here, Lord Diavolo." the unfamiliar demon chortled.

"Thank you." Emi smiled at him, before stating, "I believe we haven't met before. I'm Emiko, but you can call me Emi."

"...Ah yes, pardon me. I suppose you're right." the demon responded, smiling back.
"My name is Barbatos. I apologize for not introducing myself sooner. I have the honor of serving as steward to Lord Diavolo. Pleased to make your acquaintance." he said, giving a small bow.
