Chapter 11

Chapter Eleven (pt.1) - Fitz's POV

Yup, It was me.

I'm the one who had to witness the repulsive kiss. I stood there for a few moments, watching, but I couldn't bare to watch Sophie and my best friend make out. 

I coughed loudly and they turned around, breaking their kiss. I could see the looks of shock in their eyes.

Sophie tried to mumble something but no words came out. Instead, Keefe spoke first in a nervous tone.

"Hey, Fitzy. Why are you here?"

I snorted. "I could ask you lovebirds the same thing." I said in a bitter tone. I was bitter. How dare Keefe kiss Sophie?

Keefe must have felt my emotions because he glared at me, no longer nervous. Sophie backed up a step. 

"Well, Mr. Perfect, we happen to be on a peaceful date. Can you like leave? Why are you even here?"

I rolled my eyes. "I came here to apologize to Sophie." I looked at her, noticing how pretty she looked in that red dress.

Keefe grumbled, "Nice apology."

Sophie looked down, not meeting my eyes. She whispered, "Fitz, leave. Please. I don't need an apology. Just leave."

I ignored her and turned back to Keefe and shouted at him. I could not believe they were on a 'date'. Since when is my supposed best friend allowed to date my ex without my permission? Why would Sophie choose Keefe over me anyways?

"How dare you take my Sophie away from me! She's mine!"

Anger flashed in Keefe's eyes. Sophie grabbed his hand and tried to pull him back. Keefe pulled away and yelled right back at me.

"Sophie is not some object you can just own! Leave her alone! She's an elf who makes her own choices! And if she likes me, that's her choice!"

I laughed bitterly. I directed my gaze at Sophie.

"I just can't believe that you would choose him, who is a complete mess, over me."

Keefe was about to say something but Sophie shushed him and stepped towards me until she was standing 3 feet away.

"Listen here, you jerk. I don't care if you think that you're better than Keefe. Actually, I'd like to thank you for dumping me so I could figure out that Keefe and I belong together, not me and you. I love Keefe Sencen more than I would have ever loved you. Now back off and leave me and Keefe alone." She said in a confident tone.

I rolled my eyes and left.

Chapter Eleven (pt.2) - Keefe's POV

Soon after Fitzy left, me and Foster agreed not to bring up Fitz and went back to Havenfield, where Grady and Edaline had just gotten back. I remembered the talk I had with Grady.

It basically went like this:

"So, um, Keefe, you want to date my daughter." Grady said. Not a question, just a statement.

I nodded.

"Why?" he asked.

"Well, Foster is the most sweet person I know. She also happens to be smart, beautiful, clever, kind, thoughtful, brave, clumsy- which by the way is adorable- and oh yeah basically the most awesome girl ever." I continued on.

Grady listened to my whole speech, just nodding. Even the part where I said she was an awesome kisser. Once I finished, he simply said,

"Okay, Keefe. You have permission to date my daughter. Just.... please take care of her."

I smirked. "You don't even have to ask."

I smiled at the thought of how I would always protect Foster.  I would always be by her side and that would never change. 

I was snapped back to the present when Foster put her arms around me and kissed my cheek as we stood in her kitchen. I saw Edaline smile her goofy smile and watched her leave the room from the corner of my eye.

"Thanks for standing up for me, Keefe." She said sweetly, smiling at me.

 I grinned back saying, "Anything for you, my lovely girlfriend."

And I meant it.

Okay, is it obvious that I hate Fitz? Cuz, I think I do. I actually shipped Sofitz a little bit in the first book before we met Keefe but since then, I'm Sokeefe all the way. Sorry to the people that like Fitz, I just can't stand him so I had to include those feelings!

Anyways, I loved the fact that Sophie can stand up for herself so I loved adding that.
