(Narrator's POV)
A while later, Steven came back to Little Homeworld to rejoin everyone else. Only this time, Ronaldo and Peedee were there and, sure enough, were annoying the Gems. In fact, Connie looked relieved to see the hybrid arrive.
"Steven! You OK?" She asked as she kissed him, causing him to blush as the Gems giggled.
"Yeah. Just needed some time alone. Where's Spinel?" He asked as Connie smiled.
"She had to go back to Homeworld to check in with the Diamonds. Don't worry. She'll be back. In the meantime, could you help us deal with Ronaldo before Amethyst decks him into next week?" She asked as Steven looked at Ronaldo who immediately went on the defensive.
"Whoa hold on! I just came to tell you what I heard, Steven! In fact, I came to talk to you on particular!" He exclaimed as Peedee shook his head pityingly at his brother.
"Yeah. AFTER you once again called the Gems "Rock People". You never learn, Ronaldo...." He said as Steven shook his head.
"Besides the fact that you once again called the Gems something I've told you NOT to call them, why are you here, Ronaldo?" He asked as Ronaldo pulled out his phone.
"Check it out: Kevin's got a private chat going online and Kiki says he's going off about you having two girlfriends. He's calling you all types of names like a womanizer and...well you get it." He said as he showed Steven the various screenshots of messages Kiki sent him from the private chat, angering Steven.
"What?!? Gah, I hate Kevin!!!!!! And he's got the nerve to call ME that?!? I'm sick of this! It's time to shut him up once and for all!!!" The hybrid snapped, his skin now a very angry Pink as Connie and the Gems looked worried.
"Steven, no! It's not worth it! Kevin has no class and the whole town knows it! Why waste your energy on him?" Connie asked as Steven just glared at her, which scared her as it was the same look he had earlier when he pummeled Holly Blue and Bluebird.
Steven then looked at Ronaldo, who was now regretting telling the hybrid about the chat. Because just by how he was looking? He looked ready to hurt Kevin badly.
"Where is he, Ronaldo? Tell me." Steven asked as Ronaldo gulped a bit before spilling the beans.
"Kevin's at the boardwalk with his normal crew. Steven, I don't know what you plan on doing but...." He said as Steven then headed for the boardwalk.
"Steven wait! He's not worth it, dude!!! Gah why doesn't he want to listen to us?!?" Amethyst said in both frustration and worry.
"He just had to save me from someone who had it out for him. Steven's tired of people always trying to cut him down and I don't blame him. Seems like no matter what he does, there's always a Kevin or a Holly Blue or a Bluebird there ready to shoot him down. And he's tired of it. Plain and simple. I should be upset. But having been around him all this time.....I can't find it within myself to be upset with him over this. But we have to get to the boardwalk now before he does something horrible!" Connie said in worry as she and the Gems headed to the boardwalk...
(Meanwhile)
Steven was already at the boardwalk and had Kevin on the ground.
"Funny you said all of that about me when everyone knows how big of a manwhore you are, Kevin. Can't believe any girl would want anything to do with you to begin with. But I guess it's because you're rich, right? That's all you are: A rich pretty boy. That's it. There's nothing else about you that a girl with any sense would find appealing." Steven said as Kevin was coughing, trying to get the air back in his lungs after the hybrid took all of it out of him with a punch.
"What are you, man?!?" Kevin exclaimed as Steven glared at him in hatred.
"Someone who's been holding back this whole time. What you don't get is this...." Steven said as he then drew his fist back and sent Kevin's Lamborghini flying and skipping across the ocean with a single punch, terrifying everyone nearby as Kevin's friends ran for their lives!
"One punch. That's all it would take for me to end you, Kevin! One.... PUNCH! One punch to turn you into a floating red mist!!! If I wanted you dead, we wouldn't be even talking right now. So I suggest you get away from me and don't EVER mess with me or my girlfriends again or next time you WON'T be walking away from this, do you understand me?!? DO YOU?!!" Steven snapped as his eyes now had Diamonds in them.
"Y-yes! I'm sorry!!!!" Kevin exclaimed as Steven let him go and he ran for his life to somewhere safe that he could call someone to pick him up.
Steven sighed as he calmed down. He lost his temper yet again.
"Steven...what was that? I know Kevin's a jerk and a bully and I hated what he was saying about you, but don't you think that was a bit too far? Don't let your anger turn you into something you're not...." Kiki said in concern as the Gems and Connie came up just as it was all over.
Steven simply looked at them before walking back to the Temple, not saying a word to any of them.
"What happened? What did he do?" Connie asked as Jenny told her.
"Scared the daylights out of Kevin and his friends. Punched Kevin's Lamborghini so hard that it skipped like a pebble on the water and outright said he could KILL Kevin if he wanted to. That's pretty much the cut and dry of it." She said as Sour Cream shook his head.
"If I was Kevin, I'd just leave Steven alone. But we all know Kevin is an idiot. He's going to mess with Steven again and I hate to imagine what's going to happen when he does. The guy is a glutton for punishment, I swear..." He said.
Connie was worried as she looked at the Gems.
"You guys..I'm going to go check on Steven. Hopefully Spinel is back by now so we can try and see what's going on." She said as Pearl nodded.
"Understood. We'll do damage control here. Shouldn't be that long since I'm pretty certain that Kevin human isn't very well liked. So many likely think he had it coming. Nevertheless we'll meet up with you, Steven and Spinel later, Connie." She said as Connie smiled and nodded before heading back to the Beach House to check on Steven.
Kevin pokes the bear known as Steven Universe and gets burned for it. But can Connie and Spinel calm the flame in Steven's heart before it burns out of anyone's control?
